Quite honestly, I think the amount of people that have not had any problems with these lights (including myself), far outweigh the ones that have had issues. It's just that you don't hear about it as much.

These things sold like hotcakes during the pre-order, and when released. I know there are lots of sets out there that are just fine. Dont beat yourself up, I think you'll be good...fingers crossed.

I love my tails. I hate the hassle they came with.

The Headlight Revolution warranty requires me to buy a new set and then send my old ones back in to receive a refund.
So I had to spend another $600 just to get them to ship me the replacements.

I received my package a day or two ago. It arrived with a big ol' hole in the side of the box due to being mishandled during shipping.
I have 30 days to ship my old ones back. Now I need to inspect these for damage, find time to pop the other ones out, and then pack the other ones up to ship.

I envy the people that buy them today from Morimoto at $50 cheaper with all the improvements and none of the hassle.
They'll end up with a great pair of tails. For me? I feel like I gave my support and got a pain in the ass in return.
I'll be happy to have them in and never think about them again.

I have no skin in the game, but FWIW "no bulbs to replace" is not a selling point - it's a red flag that means you're replacing the whole thing when it's dead (or one tiny diode dies)

You're not wrong... RIP OG Ultimate Tails... that was a large factor for me to ditch these OG tails, and the Morimoto tails and go back to an OEM housing with a Meso stage 1 kit.

I also had functionality issues with these Morimotos. Randomly, the right turn signal would refuse to opperate, and the turns are dangerously dim, and the turn signal disables the brake light.

    Damn. So unfortunate.

personally I wasn’t ever a fan of the style so never took interest. Same for the OG, they looked great but didn’t match my look and build for the truck. Too out of place much like all the aftermarket options. Lines don’t match. Too much style un-uniform to the truck seemed out of place like an identity crisis.

to each their own but was never for me. I saw my truck style years ago in my head and this never made the cut. one of the only things on the site I didn’t get.

    hope everyone gets resolved

When mine fail, I'm going back to stock. The reverse light on the Meso ones is a joke. I can hardly see anything when reversing at night.

I liked the OG styling, but I agree, the Morimotos aren't my favorite.

Back to OEM and stage 1's

Sad to hear all of these reviews. My favourite are my pro's with stage 2's, no reason to change.

They look pretty bright if you stare at them. I think they are aimed too parallel instead of pointing downward a bit.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
Are you asking if just the OEM tail light lense can be replaced? If so, the answer is no. They are a welded piece to the housing so the complete unit has to be replaced.:hattip:

That's the dew we all got. It should go away after awhile.
That being said, it is a bit more than I had.

Mine condensate as well but it goes away quickly. Hasn’t caused any issues so far. Overall, I’m happy with mine.
