I was going to get the SR5(premium As well for the turn signals) but they had a TRD OR on the lot that was only ~1k more than an SR5 so I said screw it. You are going to love this SUV. The interior, visibility, and engine/trans make the taco feel really cheap
she is on the fence about the color. I keep getting teased by my friends calling it “primer”. I just say I was on a budget and had Toyota hold off on the paint saving me some $$$

and no there is no eyelid. There are some hard angles on the inside bezel that might make it appear so. For the DRL I cut a slot(flowing said angles) and put a 1/8” acrylic diffuser in front of a LED strip. Very stealth and functional.
    Here’s a closer view

P.S- FYI anyone doing Morimotos bi-Led projectors keep in mind THEY DISPLAY STUPID M’s! I found this out after I sealed and fired them up. FML. I’ll just say the M stands for MESO:notsure:

We love our 2011 T4R SR5 and truth be told I like to drive it sometimes more then my Tacoma. So I am really looking forward to the upgrade. My cousin has a Offroad in Seattle I loved it. He asked me not to go crazy when I drove down to Oregon I only made it 30 mins before I started going on some trails lol.

Stew, the 4runner looks sick!! Gonna lift the fiances soon did you need to do a cmc to get those to fit? Do the T4r's need the ecgs bushings like the taco? and did you have to do anything to compensate for the KDSS? Did you get any lean? Can't wait to see what else you come up with for it. The chrome in the tail lights drives me crazy. Congrats on the shop by the way

Is doing vinyl anything like doing tint? Looks hard.

@mesojdm - could you post a picture of your truck with the headlights on? I'm curious to see how the quad bi-demons actually look when lit. Considering doing it.

Bonus points for an engine bay pic to see where you located the ballasts.

I trimmed the front bumper just a tad and used a heat gun to push in the fender liner. Now it is rubbing at full lock on the cab mount(not bad just slightly annoying). So I will likely end up doing the CMC. Here’s a pic of how close it is with 285/70/17
    [IMG]
I did not do the ECGS and have not felt any vibes. From all the installs I have seen people say you need to disconnect the front KDSS sway, but luckily I got the front coilovers in WITHOUT taking it/skid plate off. We just used a 2x4 and wedged it in the LCA and pryed against the bump stop. Slid the coil in and done.
The car is leveled(verified with level on the frame) but because the rear fenders are cut higher it gives the illusion of the back end sitting higher.
Chrome in the tail lights are getting eliminated as we speak
    [IMG]
Subtle difference over the stock but I wanted it to look as OEM as possible.

And of course it wouldn’t be MESO Without a full LED retrofit. The upper bucket is getting Tritton switchbacks so I will have double reverse (top and bottom) with turn signals.
Brake/ running lights were changed for vertical LED strips
    [IMG]

which happen to line up with the factor clear diffuser lens like it was made to be!

I like the strip style better than the single dot the factory had
    [IMG]

its a pretty cheap camera from BOYO. About ~$20 IIRC on Amazon. Gets the job done.
haha sorry, I just felt I needed to be a little different with a unique color. And I’ve always wanted to do a matte color(still might do the taco). I have never done tint, but the vinyl is very easy. Just a tedious process with all the little corners, etc.
They don’t work for me either but I already sealed them up so until I have more time to crack them open it’s just gonna have to be what it is unfortunately:(
ya I’ll get some pics of the headlights on.
But here’s where the drivers were mounted upload_2018-10-7_9-24-9.jpg

have you ever considered making a better wind deflector for the prinsu racks? they're pretty popular but lots of customers would probably be interested in a quieter cleaner looking deflector.

Those tail lights look so good. Love how it looks OEMish but vastly improved. If you ever start selling em I want a pair.

Really wish those ultimate side mirrors were still available for purchase. I want to get rid of my hood bracket mounted ones for a cleaner look. @mesojdm have you seen the morimoto modpods? They look to be a bit smaller than the rigid ignites and have a bit more lumens. They have some unique mounting options too. Those would make a sweet integrated ditch light. Only $30 a piece too.

I have a set of mirrors here that I plan on modding..but haven't had a chance to do them yet. Yes I have used the modpods for other builds and they are OK. Not as compact as a ignite nor does it seem to throw as much light.

Good feedback to know on those modpods. I do like that the ignites have different beam pattern options. I’ve thought about trying my hand at integrating some lights in my side mirrors like you did. You had some great pics in your thread. When I install your turn signals this weekend (I appreciate the quick shipping on those, btw) I’ll take a look in there and see if I’m comfortable trying something like that.
