I was changing my interior lights to LED ones and now none of my lights are working. They were just a few minutes ago til I tried changing the back one. What have I done?!

Sounds like a fuse. I swapped out all of mine with vleds and did red map lights to keep night vision. Work great no issues.

Why would you disconnect the battery to change a light bulb?

While it's true the body control module controls the lights, you'd think flipping the switch to off would be enough. Meanwhile all the how-to Youtube videos do it with the lights on, so the LEDs light up the instant they're plugged in, while still dangling from the wires.

Most LED bulbs are polarity sensitive. Flip the bulb around and try it again and see if it comes on....if not then put the original bulb back in and see if it lights....if not next up is check fuses.

Next time you do anything electrical related just pull the negative cable. 30 seconds of inconvenience will save you a lot of headaches.

This is good advice. On the Tacoma, the only settings you lose when disconnecting the battery are the climate control presets, pretty trivial. Though be sure to fully tighten the negative battery terminal afterwards, or you can get a check engine light :anonymous:

Did you short it out by hitting the contacts with a metal part of the bulb? Check your dome light fuse to see if it is blown.

Did this on my last vehicle. None of the interior lights turned on after. Was just a fuse, swapped it with a spare that was already in the box and everything worked fine.

Fuse could be in the engine bay or the interior fuse box. Finding out which one will be the most trouble, but not too bad.

    Good luck!
