    I tried to go to the Damage Plan show that night, but couldn't get anyone to cover my shift at work. I guess I consider myself fortunate.

    And now the Alrossa is gone, too.

    Saw so many shows there. Hell, we were probably at a lot of the same concerts and didn't even realize it.

    I had never heard his stuff before seeing him open for Tool but he put on a really cool show. The apparatus he uses is insane, and it seems every part of his body is controlling something. The one man band of the future!

    yep...I played my first gig on that stage in 1986...sort of grew up there playing and watching shows.

    in fact, all of the great places to play and see shows in C-bus are gone, except The Newport...

    Yup.

    That new King of Clubs place, or whatever it's called, seems to be doing a lot of bookings. I know Starwood likes to book smaller acts at Ace of Cups. I'll be there for Midnight on Sept. 24.

    sweet!!! the band i play in now is trying to get in there...we still have a few months of getting the new singer and guitar player fully involved, so hopefully around November...

    that used to be the old RnR Bar, which was the home of the Columbus Steelers fan club. Spent many a Sunday afternoon or evening in there back in the day

    we used to play O'Shekky's up there, and I used to live in that whole shopping center in the 80's. That was one of THE hangout places for my high school.
