Metal Miller Spare Carrier Installed!

PM'ed Jeff (MetalMiller) late Saturday night. Got it this afternoon!

Hit it with some bedliner to protect the steel for at least a little while.
Installed it in the cold like a MAN! Anyway, here's some pictures of it on my truck.

Is it long enough to clear the wheel well? I would rather mount it near the cab if I were to order one

 

Not long enough to clear the wheel well, no. But you can use the bed rails at the top of the bed (against the cab) to mount it with no problem.

That looks like it could give you a nice blind spot. Can I ask why you didnt put it on the other side? I'm not bashing or anything.

 

Installed mine for last weekend Anza Borrego trip and it worked like a champ. No issues with the bed rail at all. We put some miles down going all over the place, washes, graded roads rock gardens etc.

Anyways, here are some images. I mounted it pretty tight to the tail gate, about 3/4 of an inch and have about an inch of room between the spare and the window of the shell.

I really like this. Does it work with 16 inch rims? I have 265/75 mounted on a 16 inch rim. I would want the tire to sit firmly on the bed.
