Got a used Tacoma at 86k miles. Did my second oil change today at 91500 miles and saw this and freaked out. Not sure if this is a scary amount but I ordered an oil analysis kit. Does this amount of metal shavings look super concerning ?

Pictures are horrible. Looks like specs of dirt that fell off the pan, not metal.

I only took a video but it doesn’t let me post it. I’ll do another oil change in 500-1000 miles and update this thread, I appoligize

Open the filter up and check the pleats. The truth will be shown.

The residual oil actually looks pretty good.

I see little brass (maybe?) bits. Cut open the oil filter and see what your oil analysis says.

Why apologize? Anyone who buys a new used vehicle is always sweating a few bullets for the first few months. It's not like you are spending a pack of twizzlers money.

honestly looks normal. idk what you do for oil intervals but I would just drive vehicle and monitor on next few oil changes every 5k.
