Just received my new rocksliders from Metal tech 4x4 out of Oregon. As per instructions I cleaned them up from the dirt, oils & grease from manufacturing & delivery and then I put on many coats (4cans) of Rustoleum brand glossblack paint and primer they look fantastic on the truck fit and finish was flawless no complaints, they came with all hardware needed for install which took approximately 1 hour with help from
my two sons ...I was thinking powdercoating but at $275 I thought $40 of supplies and some elbow grease was the way to go

Looks good. I always play the game of "find the 14mm socket I had 10 seconds ago" while I work, so that doesn't help.

I got to play that game with the bag of zip ties yesterday... took me 10 minutes to find them the first time, then 30 minutes to find them 5 minutes later...I put them in the only empty drawer in my toolbox.

I just installed Metal tech sliders this weekend. Went on pretty nicely. I wasn't able to get the reinforcement bolts put in. Ran out of time and my drill couldn't finish the job with the 1/2" bit.

I did run in to one snag: the driver side middle mount covers up one of the two bolt holes for the module that gets moved out of the way for installation. The slider's middle mounting plate covers the front bolt hole so I can only bolt up the module with one bolt. I tried moving the slider back a bit but it won't move back far enough.

The module seems pretty secure with just the one bolt and sitting cock-eyed. I didn't have any other option.

Any of you guys run into this prob on your 3rd gen?

yes same here ... just left it with the one bolt as well. As you said seems secure enough

Anyone mind posting some profile pics with this sliders? Interested in seeing how they look with what appears to be 5-10 degree angle. (anyone know actual angle?)

Put these on today and am curious on something. Did y’all drill to install bolts in all of the lower holes in addition to using pre existing holes for the “horizontal” bolts?

I started to drill but decided it was too much work and not necessary for the light off-roading we do. I've hit a couple rocks and stumps with no issue having just used the pre-existing mounts.

I didn't drill. I've retorqued after a few trips and noticed nothing getting loose. Ive jacked the truck up using them but haven't done anything hardcore. No slider pivots or hard drops to really test them so just the basic setup seems fine for my basic ass.
