i would understand corners and edges.. but if you really look at it.. i dont think its the shipping companies... plus, theres no puncture or cuts on the shipping box........ theres also alot of other dents and stuff.. dents deep enough that the raw material is exposed... ill take more pics later tnight

How does the rear of the skid attach. Are there angled 3"spacers to bolt to oem locations. Can you post a picture of the other side of the plate (side that faces up) Thanks

    That, my friend, is AWESOME!
QUESTION: I discovered the OEM plate does not fit right after installing a 2" differential drop. Does yours accommodate for that?

I'd like one that would fit the RCD drop bracket kit

The rear of the skid attaches in the stock locations just like the oem one does. Here is a pic.

    img1204m_1da60b47d519ef698e138ae1d714b16fcc55070b.jpg

As for lift compatibility, this matches the exact mounting of the OEM. If you could tell me if some spacers need to be added to make it work, I could come up with something to make it fit. Or even if the mounting hole are lower than the others, I can easily redesign it to fit in autocad.

By the way, I FINALLY found a first gen (2001) to fit up my skids! He is kind enough to let me borrow it for a couple of weeks to basically do whatever I want to it. First gen skids are only about 2 weeks away!

Interesting... I was looking at the diff drop from toytech and it came with longer bolts for the skid. Does that fix the problem? Or if I go with this, should I get some spacers to drop the skid?

Well I don't have my truck right now, so I'm SOL maybe one of the other RCD guys could help out. I know EVERY one of them are looking for a skid that will fit. Right now I have the stock skip installed but that required some "forcing."

I'll look into what needs to be done.

When you say it requires some forcing, what specificially needs to be done? If the stock skid will fit, but requires some effort, I could easily tweak the design I have to fit. Also, if there is a group of guys looking for skids, I'd be more than happy to give a group rate or come up with some kind of custom design for the skid.

^basically, it involve banging on the rear of the skid to flatten it out in order to fit between the drop bracket to reach the stock mounting locations.

BigRedToy just asked me about a skid, I also know that RCD doesn't make one that fits nor does anyone else... so everyone with the RCD kit has not skid or a stock one banged up to fit

Is there any way that you could shoot me a pic? This sounds like it would be really easy to do. If I can get a visual and maybe some measurements, I would just have to make a few quick adjustments in autocad then I could crank em out.

Sounds good. Yep, I was checking for skids. You would have a niche, if you started offering these.

Wow just stumbled on this thread. I've gotta say man you have an awesome product from the looks of it. I love the zombie apocalypse one haha. I may be getting one in the future or a TRD cutout one.

Good news, turns out I know someone with an RCD lift. I am making plans to meet up with him in the next couple of weeks to make up a skid. So I now have 2 pending skid projects:

    1st Gen skids
    RCD Skids

I made my mockup today for the 1st gen skids, I went for a 1 piece front/diff skid. I'm making the metal prototype this week. Should be sexy
