How much interest is there in this if I can rearrange the hardware to make this mountable behind the rear window?

I'd do it for the same cost. I just have to reconfigure the mounting hardware. I got all the materials I need for it on my lunch break today

I would be interested in purchasing just the new mounting plate(s) so I can have the option to position it at the sides or the back of the bed. I'll snap some pics for everyone ;)

I'll snap a few pics of my rack right now to showcase. LOVE this rack.

For anyone interested this is how the unfinished rack comes. I do plan to match it to my sliders since the avid light bar is being pulled in a few weeks.

I also let a friend borrow my truck and she installed my tire at a slight funky angle. It could be more perpendicular to the truck bed....

Finally got around to installing the rack. I love this thing! Solid!

I ended up getting some different size bolts so that I could use my stock lug nuts to mount the wheel. I just like that finished look.

I also had to use wheel spacers and some washers so that I could push the tire away from hitting the screen on my window at the top. My tire sits at an angle because of the BedRug and I also put a piece of thick rubber under the tire.

It doesn't rub on anything now. My tire is a 32" (285/70/16).

    On to the pics!

Looks kinda crooked when installed, but I like it. Maybe if the bed rail plate was a lil taller so the holes for the mount would be lower, the whole thing would be perpendicular to the bed.
    Really interested in one though.

any interest in a group buy metalmiller? i just ordered my 285s and am not sure i want to do the chop under the bed to fit one down there. also, with 285 70-17s is the tire going to sit more vertical than people's pics are showing? i love the rack but it looks a little goofy the way everyone has it crooked, i guess i could air it down some...

I'll see if there are any mods I can do to give it a little bit more play so some of the tires arent quite as crooked. I do want to keep the tight fit though to keep and play out of it. The tighter it is held in place, the better!

I have come up with some new mounting hardware that allows you to mount to the front bedrails, I know some of you would prefer it that way. I will make this my standard hardware that I ship out. I have a nice bit of inventory and am looking to move some out to make room on my shelves for some new stuff.

I normally sell these for 95+ shipping, but since I have some ready to move. I wouldnt mind selling em for 90 shipped to anywhere in the US, it will be a little bit more for the international folk. Let me know if there is any interest, and I'll update the first post with ordering info.

I'm definitely down. As long as you take care of the crooked issue.
    Bump for you
