20190901_105045.jpg 20190901_105101.jpg 20190901_105054.jpg I found some small pieces of meteorite around my truck. This seems like a common occurrence, have you ever witnessed this?

Luckily no, it landed a few yards away. I actually heard the debris rain down and saw the remnants of what looked like a falling star. There was some white ash on my truck the following day. I found that piece yesterday.

Check eBay. People pay a lot for those things. Maybe donate it to a local museum?

I also thought it was coal. I guess rub it on the cement and see how it marks. If it’s pretty soft probably coal but if hard and doesn’t mark like coal then it could really be a meteorite. If so I’d keep it even if it was worth a little bit of cash. It would be a great conversation piece.

There was a piece that was ran over and crushed, it is also pretty light. Looks like it broke easy but didn't leave a mark like coal would.

Too late for that. I didn't see a warning label on it.
