    Almost all meteorites are iron based.... I seriously doubt that it is a meteorite.
    It would be heavy and possibly have a conical shape at one end.

    Is your meteorite magnetic? It doesn't look like other meteorites I have seen.

    I think it's a leavarite. When you find one, you leavarite where you found it.

    My suspected meteorite. Heavy for it's size, magnetic, and have not found any similar rocks in the area. It did not land on my truck.20190901_154717.jpg

    That looks to be iron pyrite, similar to amalgam...dentists use that on patients who don't have insurance, I would hang on to that
