Boost juice works great for washer fluid. The reason it works in the washer tank. Dual purpose.

 

So I’m chiming in here. I run a methonal kit instead of a 7th injection setup.
With the snow kit I can run a much smaller pulley and get 10 pounds of boost now
with perfect AFR numbers at 6000 feet.

At my altitude 6000 feet it works perfectly for the 3.4 v6

Stage two snow kit so it’s progressive starting at 4K up.

I have probably 40,000 miles on my methonal kit. Super happy with it, used the washer resivoir
to keep everything clean and easy. Usually mix boost juice and wiper fluid half half.

Only draw back that I have run into is the spray nozzels tend to clog up. The smaller the nozzel the sooner it clogs up. Number 1 nozzel lasted 5,000 miles, Number 2 nozzle for me lasts about 15,000 miles. So keep an eye out as if it gets
plugged there is no warning to let you know. Nozzles are cheap 20.00 and a few minutes to replace.
I run a number 2 nozzel and or a 3 nozzel for more fluid in summer to cool things down more.
I had my supercharger rebuilt again at 575,000 and there was very little wear to the coating from the methonal. This will vary depending on the quality of coating that was done.

Methonal will also totally clean your throttle body and valves squeak carbon free

I also did have the supercharger inlet and outlet ported while it was getting rebuilt

 

Thanks for sharing. How does the sc have 575K miles on it? How many times has it been rebuilt?

 

U bet, I bought this truck new in 1997 with the v6, added the supercharger 6 months later.

So it’s the original supercharger that I bought 20 years ago.

Typical I get 150,000 per rebuild but now running a 2” pulley and 10 pounds of boost I want it rebuilt
at 100,000 miles.

I have 580,000 miles now on my truck

Actually blew a head gasket at 490,000 so was cheaper to replace it with an engine that had 100,000 that was rolled. Found the engine for 1500.00

 

Wow! Almost 500,000mi on the original boosted engine! Amazing!

 

I have this filter for my water/methanol injection so hopefully that prevents some clogging:

U can clean the nozzles and the screens, the blockage I get is in the tip of the of the jet, looks more like mineral build up

 

Just soak it in vinegar?

 

Probably so if you have one of these kits it's just really important to take your nozzle out and inspect it every 10,000 or 20,000 miles to make sure it's spraying correctly and not plugged up anywhere for twenty bucks I just put a new one in so I know everything's 100% On Target

 

Are the nozzles stainless? CLR or some kind of solvent?

 

Do you still see tank consumption of fluid when your nozzle clogs up? Or do you not let things get that far? Curious if a plugged nozzle forced a leak in the system. Have you had good reliability with your pump?

 

Yeah they're stainless steel and the internal spring and plunger type piece is stainless also

 

IIRC, CLR is what snow recommends you use. I will check my instructions during lunch today, but I think I remember reading this
