Method Center Cap Feeler Thread

Greetings all, I'm just seeing if there would be any interest in custom center caps for method wheel. I am working with a manufacturer to get my idea done correctly to replace the awful method center caps.

Here is an example of what it will look like (color will be more satin this was the first off). There will be 6 screws used I just put 3 on for times sake.

Would anyone have any interest in these caps? They would use the existing ring that the plastic cap is screwed to. Just putting this out there.

Kidding aside, they are better then the bro cap that sticks out 4". I just got some in the mail and Think I'll draw up a smooth(no exposed bolt heads) version. I can't stand the protruding cap .
I also realized Method uses 3 real bolts and 3 fake plastic lol

 

Most definitely not Home Depot lol...they are a very specific size to be able to install on the current flange and be able to slide in from the back without having to take the bolts out each time you want to take off the center cap. I hope you design something better.

 

So here's what I whipped up. making a few now to see how they look. Any constructive criticism is welcomed.

If you look on the Method website they do sell rims with the flush center cap. I am reaching out to Method to see if that is an option to have them ordered with my NV wheels. Just a thought.

If I don't beat you to it, I'll buy some if you fab up flush mounts. Been planning on going to a cnc shop to fab up a flush center cap but haven't had the time

I don't even have methods, I was just throwing out designs for you peeps.

The above drawing would bolt to the original method center cap ring. They would not be "flush" with the face of the rim.. but rather stick out about 1". 3D printed and be easy to install and change the look for super cheap.

To get a TRUE flush cap, it would have to be milled as 1 piece. With the face smooth and the bottom tapered to snap into the rim hole. I don't know what your budget is...but between CAD time, material, and machine time.. billet caps aren't going to be cheap. I'm happy to make them but a set would run at least $200+. Compared to the 3D printed $50-75/set.

 

So you basically did what I did they just bolt on from the inside out...
