Does anyone know if I can just put a spacer on to clear the caliper to run method 301 standards in a 16x8 0offset with 4.5 backspace??

I'm sure I've seen a 2nd gen with those in 16" wheels, give it a shot.

if you have a sport its not the fact of clearing the caliper but i think the disc, Sports caome with 17" rims. If it does contact the caliper you can run a spacer but it pushes your steering geometry out further and you may rub the forward and back portions of your wheel well without a lift even with stock size tires.

I have the trd offroad edition. I've seen 2nd gens with this rims also but guy at orw swore that they are probably different rims and I need a 17". I will give it a try and maybe get the spacers as well for a better looking stance.

I have a 12 prerunner with those rims in the exact same size and offset. They fit perfectly fine, I'm pretty sure all model tacomas have the same size calipers and discs.

Method 16" wheels will fit ALL second gen tacos. I know guys with OR and I have a 2010 sport running 16" double standards. I spoke with Method and SDHQ and they run methods on a ton of stuff.

301s will fit in a 16x8 on a 2005+ Tacoma no problem. We got Chaz into his and have sold a few other sets to guys on this site and TTORA.

Nope, its just manufacuter/wheel dependant. Some 16" rims fit and some dont, thats really all there is to it. It was the same way with my 2005 TRD OR AC as it is with my 2010 TRD SPORT AC.

well the mickey thompson classic locks only fit on some year models because over the years they changed the size of the calipers. For my 2005 i called them and they said no way the 16's will fit and 17's might if i was lucky. but then people have 2007 tacomas and the 16's fit fine

people fitting the MT classic locks in a 16" wheel almost always have to shave part of the caliper down in order for the wheel to clear.

From what i have read the wheels clear the caliper no problem but the stick on weights to balance them are what have trouble clearing. I am also in the market for a set and would like to know if they would fit or not.
