My truck came with a set of Method Mesh wheels and I don't mind the design, but I hate the beadlock bolts. They stick out way too far and too many for my liking. I really would like to replace them if possible with black or better yet a flush design like a flat socket cap screw. Anyone done this or have a better alternative. I know I could paint/plasti dip them, but that's a pain and still leaves me with them sticking out so far.

    These are the wheels

These are the bolts I'm thinking of, but not sure if they will work since it is so cone shaped.

You could remove the bolts and have them powdercoated, ive never seen them with anything but stock but do not plastidip them. I plastidipped my fake beadlock rings to see how they would look and ive gone through hell removing it.

Problem is I don't want to mess with the bolts because eventually I will be selling them for some SCS wheels. Just can't justify them right now and really don't like the chrome bolts. Might look into some black alternatives but rather have a flush look.

Don't think the socket head bolts you showed would work too well since they're designed to fit in a countersunk setting. I know that you can get socket head bolts at places like Lowe's which have small round heads and are already black. You might look into those. May not be as noticeable.

Thought about that but without them looks off. I'm being picky I know haha.

Might have to look into those.

I think I'll check these out and see how they work. Pack of 50 is $7.50 so $15 for the swap and they have them around the corner from my work.

I contacted Method a while back about the same sort of issue and I got the below response:

    Good morning,

I’m sorry but at this time there is no plans to change the layout of any of our wheels. We do have some new products coming out early next year though that may interest you. Please feel free to follow us on either Facebook or Instagram for the latest news on new products.

Thank you for your interest in Method,

So they're useless...haha I'll check out those bolts and post some pictures tomorrow. Was hoping for a flush look but they could be a close second.

Hey, I just had another thought. Look into socket head set screws. You can probably find them at someplace like Fastenall.

I was looking at those but they leave a circular hole afterwards.

Haha it's only 96....at least the method bolts can be taken off with my impact.

Tried the button socket caps, but the smallest they had was 10mm and they are too long. I can't find a shorter screw online either, so I'm going to give up on this one and try to pick up some SCS wheels sooner than later.

I have the same exact wheels on my Taco and like you I can't stand the Silver bolt. What did you end up doing to solve this dilemma?

I really liked the NV's but just couldn't go with them because of the chrome bolts, so I decided on the anthracite FJ 6 spokes. I think I'm going to go black in the future, the fuel Vectors look like a good choice. Hard to beat Method's center cap, though..
