    Hello all!

I am new to this forum. Also I am about to become a new Tacoma owner!
My TRD Sport DCSB 4wd will be arriving in 4 weeks but I’ve been researching on a few things to upgrade the truck. I don’t know much about lifts and fitments so I will appreciate any help.

I am looking to install BOSS 2.0 and thinking of putting 285 or 275 tires. I would like the tires to come with Method wheels but I am not sure if I should go with:

    A. 16x8, 6x5.5, OFFSET=0, BS=4.5

    B. 17x8.5, 6x5.5, OFFSET=0, BS=4.75

I know the Sport comes with 17x7 but I do not know if Method wheels will have correct offset and backspacing to avoid tire rubs.

Please let me know what your suggestions or experiences are with this.

    Thanks in advance.

I ran your option A with a 2-2.5 lift and cleared 285's no problem.

No mine is an Off Road but I'm pretty sure the things of concern are the same (lift results, caliper size, etc).

I like the look and off road performance of a 16" wheel. So running 17's never crossed my mind.

Here's a pic of mine with that setup (not that there aren't 1000's of these posted elsewhere).

She's a beauty. This NV style got my eyes as well as the VEX. Thanks again for the reply and the info and pics.

Thanks. I really like them too. I'm running 35's on them now.

The only thing I don't like, I guess a lot of fake beadlock wheels have this, water pools in the lip and unless you dry it, it never goes away. Just makes your wheels really dirty.

FYI the Sport wheels are 7.5" wide. You can go 8.5" wide with no lift if you use a plus 10 offset wheel and stay under 31.5" diameter tires. Just not a ton of selection in that width wheel in a plus 10 offset.
