    Hey folks,

I've been watching the new 2016 posts closely and looks like all the tacos appear to be from Mexico (VIN starts with 3). I'm expecting to see some from Texas soon (VIN starts with 5). Personally, I'm hoping to get one with a 5, but I've haven't seen any yet.

Call me crazy, but I think Americans can still build better tacos. But then, I was also disappointed when they stopped making the 4runner in Japan.

EDIT: Nevermind about the 4runner they are still in Japan...I'm a dumb ass.

The Mexico plant is highly awarded for their quality and excellence.

    Don't be so simple minded.

Where did you get your information regarding the 4Runners being made stateside and not I. Japan. My understanding is all 4Runners come from Japan

I stand corrected...I just looked at the details and they are still in Tahara. I was told a while back they changed and believed the person who told me. Haven't owned a 4runner in several years so never questioned it...until now. Thanks for the correction.

American Taco's are usually not the real thing, more 'Tex Mex' ;) I prefer a real taco, generally Carne Asada!

Sweet. I'm on OK, so I expect to be getting a 5, just hadn't seen any. The quote I got from Kansas City was a 3 so I wondered if they were all going to be 3's.

True - San Antonio is for all intents and purposes Northern Mexico.

Indeed. My truck is a San Antonio build, and like all vehicles, has had its issues.

its definitely more Mexico vs Texico than anything else. But rest assured, the Mexico side is an award winning facility, as is Texas. Either are great.

My first taco was made in Baja. My second was Texas, I couldn't tell a difference in fit and finish.

How is that racist? Wtf, just because someone likes their vehicles made in the US doesn't make them racist. That's like saying I'm racist against Chinese people because I don't like Chinese light bar knock offs. I think America can make better light bars.... rigid industries is all I will buy.

This post is taking a wrong turn I'm afraid. I simply live in the mid-west and I like the mid-west work ethics. I also like "made in USA" and any contribution to the "local" economy. Just my personal feelings, this has nothings to do with race, color or creed. What is it with people these days? ...no wonder the better half of California is moving to Texas and Arizona.

Someone please hand BKill a map. I was speaking geographically. But even if I was speaking demographically...I'm still right.

Don't worry about quality from Mexico. Though Toyota is far from perfect, the Tacoma has been produced there for a while with good quality scores.
