Rubber bullets would have worked better against crowds. Shoot the ring leaders and that shit breaks up fast.

    x2..

A bunch of grown men making "logical" comments about how all illegal immigrants deserve to be shot on site is taking it a little too far.

It is a crime to assult and officer. They have the right to defend themselves. Would you rather it have read today a family mourns the loss of their husban and father who was struck in the head by a rock thrown by a child who then took the officers weapon and shot him to death.

I suppose you would have liked that better.

The perps age has nothing to do with it. If he is old enough to enter another country illegally, then try to assault the law enforcement of that country, then he is old enough to face the consequences. I guess I was raised different, but I would never have even thought about doing what this kid did.

Is it unfortunate that this man died? Yes. Did he contribute to his own demise? Yes. Where was his family when he was doing this? Do they not teach kids in Mexico any respect as they grow up? Its no wonder they don't show any respect here on the streets of Phoenix once they get past the border.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for BP agents. When I see them, I shake their hand and thank them for what they do. It is a thankless job.

Not how drawing a gun works. LEOs have such a narrow line they can walk when it come to employing the personal defense tools they have.

If they draw their gun- they are already resolved to shoot if required.

If they shoot...they are going to shoot center mass (mid line of the body between the belly button and the neck). Head is a little high- but I don't know the scene of the shoot- so it could make sense.

No warning shots, no single taps to the leg, no BS. Threaten an officer-Take the consequences.

Weapon, Action, Opportunity. The kid had all three. And could have had more weapons. Maybe he throws rocks until he gets into stabbing distance.

Clean shoot. The border crossing stuff is the only grey area.

I just read the first page, so I might be saying what was already said.

First, it was evening. Cop probably didn't see the age of the person he was shooting at. All he saw was someone assaulting him and responded.

Second, don't jump the fucking boarder. You know it's illegal, presume there will be some pretty fucking hefty consequences.

Third, do what the man with the gun tells you to and don't fuck with the Po-leece.

Edit - Fourth, it's Texas. Who the fuck throws rocks at a Texan? Sounds like a winner of a darwin award there. Doesn't a gun come with your birthcertificate? 6th birthday you get your first pump action, 18 first full auto AR?

I agree completely. People would be enraged if an illegal immigrant killed a border patrol agent like that, but yet people scream bloody murder when an illegal that is putting the BP's life in danger gets shot and killed.

When you pose a threat to a snake, it will defend itself and bite. Same thing applies here.

Too bad it is not convenient to be able to carry rubber bullets. I feel that would have probably been a good alternative to the outcome of the situation.

Why should the thread be locked? Because everyone does not agree with your point of view?
We as a country worry too much about how others perceive us and we pussy out because of it which is why a lot of countries think we are a joke. The same reason why illegals infiltrate our borders on a daily basis because they know there are no real consequences if caught. Just like over in Iraq right now. If our soldiers are being fired upon they must first get permission to fire back other wise they risk heavy consequences. Total BS and like I mentioned earlier the pussification of America!
