I haven't read this entire thread. But is it possible this was paint work by the dealer? The entire body is painted all at once at the factory. No way to have a mismatch like that...especially with the cut line being right at the door

I recall going thru this thread or a similar one and more than 1 person had the same issue and I also think quicksand was the other that had the same problem, seems like they were probably painting parts of the vehicle at different times to end up with different shades.

Wasted time through 13 pages and nobody realized the MGM color is the sponsored color of Bruce Jenner (Caitlyn Jenner) - half and half.

I'm bumping this up as I'm having the same issue it appears....

Anyone find a resolution to this? I've owned my Tacoma for three days with 219 miles and just noticed this.

So - nothing?? I read this thread for 30 minutes and just blam! The end!!
Anyway, I went out to the parking lot to look at my MGM and it looks fine - plastic parts even match very nicely. My VIN starts with 5 and was built 6/17. How do I tell where it was assembled? On the door jamb is says manufactured in US and Toyota of Texas.

Hello everyone!!! Sorry is taking me this long to update you guys. Well, after any phones calls and trips to the dealership where I bought my truck, someone from Cooperative come out and looked at my truck. We took it to a Toyota bodyshop, checked the paint job for body work and damage, done. They tacked the VIN number to see if the truck got damage during shipping and nothing. After all this, Toyota decided to paint the truck to match to paint to the rest of the truck. It took them three weeks, good thing I got a loaner in the meant time. If i ever buy another new vehicle, im going to check the paint all around because it was a hussle to deal with this.
Now you guys have a similar problem, make sure you go to the dealer were you bought it, complain to them, and call the 1800 331 4331 and open a case. Please save the case number because you going to need it each time they call you back or you called them to check on updates. Please keep record of each time you talked to them, emails, etc. it would come handly.....

It look way better now but is never going to be 100% the same... Toyota did offer me some kind of a deal on a new one but I was going to lose some money and decided not to go that route..... Ill post pics once the weather gets better
