I've been wanting to get a taco for a couple years now and having just come back from a deployment finally have enough money to buy my prized DC, TRD SR5 4x4. I have been an observer of this site for AWHILE however this is my first thread. One thing I can't decide on is a frikkin color. If i could I'd have multiple taco's!

I'm just looking for opinions from SW or MGM colored taco owners on what any pro's or con's are of having each color. I.E White gets more speed tickets or MGM shows scratches better. Thanks guys I appreciate your help and I can't wait to join the club.

P.S. One thing I wanted to get that would affect appearance is a custom bumper (leaning towards an ARB)

    :D:);):rolleyes::cool:

I'm after a white DC myself. There's a guy I've seen in houston a few times with a white dc that has a camper top, 3" lift, and black wheels, and I think it's the most amazing combo ever. I'll definitely be copying him and don't give a damn!

Those were my two color preferences as well, I wouldn't have purchased any other color. I went with MGM as it happened to be readily available when I was shopping. I do slightly prefer SW, even after my purchase. If you like black wheels and accesories, I think it looks better on SW as well.

SW looks very crisp, can't go wrong. MGM has a ton of flake in it, I get compliments on it almost daily it seems. I have also had several other Taco owners say they wish they had MGM. Bottom line though, get what you want to look at. Hopefully you have a chance to see them side by side to make your decision.

I have white AC & love the color, also love the MGM. If the dealer would have had an MGM on the lot as well the day I bought, I think I would still be there trying to decide which color to buy.

    Also, thanks for your service!!

Agreed with that, and it seems to show water spots pretty bad.

SW all the way! Love mine. Looks super clean, hides scratches and imperfections, stays cooler. Black on white looks sick too. hence my truck color choices. Lol

My personal two favorite colors. MGM will show scratches and paint imperfections more, as well as get dirty easier, but looks the best when clean. I have white, but my next truck is going to be MGM. Love that color.

I'm running MGM and love it. However, I do have a couple of pin stripes to try to wheel out. Someone the other day told me to use black shoe polish on the scratches. Anyone ever tried something like that?

All these reply's are really good information I really appreciate it guys. I'd have to say what makes this so hard is i've seen the all white taco's with all black wheels and that just makes a mess in my pants. The MGM is unique though and has a candy-paint look to it with those little sparkles. Plain stock it looks quite rad but I wonder If getting black wheels and a black bumper would just make it look a little too dull. :notsure:

Personally, I'm not a fan of white trucks.... but that's just me. Go with MGM.

SW and MGM are the best colors for these trucks IMHO. A few minutes with a dry (or an occasional spritz of Speed Shine or Quick Detail) microfiber bonnet on a power buffer takes out all of the light scratches on my SW truck.

Those colors were my top 2 choices. I could only find what I wanted in white so my decision was made for me.

Love my Super white truck! Stays super clean! In between washes I use a California duster to keep it super shiny. I always get super awesome compliments. I would say super white is a super choice.

I wanted white but the wife found it boring. I ended up getting the MGM. White is so much easier to take care of and is cooler in the sun, but I have to admit the MGM looks damn good in the sun.

I've got a SW, but wish I had the MGM. It looks classy. That said, I almost got a Mica green, but it was $300 more. Nah, saved a couple of bucks.

Just a matter of what floats your boat.
