Mic not working

Hey guys so today I am having a problem with my 20 Tacoma mic.

my Bluetooth was turned off on my iPhone and I was in my truck and got a phone call. While on the phone I turned on my Bluetooth and switch the audio to my truck stereo, When I did this my mic started acting like it muted to the other person. I have tired disconnecting my phone from my truck and reconnected it only to find out that this didn’t help.
It strange though because I can still “hey Siri, call so and so” I haven’t had a problem with it until now

has anyone else had this issue and been able to troubleshoot it?

 

Isn’t there a mute button on the steering wheel?

 

They release updates for the radios all the time, the dealer will address it no issue. Start with this.

 

Any update on this? I'm experiencing the same issue. Was using Apple Carplay with the phone plugged in, tried to unplug/replug with no success, and tried via bluetooth. Only thing that seems to work is turning the truck off and back on.

 

Same issue here, 2020 TRD off-road. Music, podcasts and Siri will all work but making or receiving phone calls doesn’t. It is like it is muted in both end. Anyone find a solution?

also, is anyone else finding their mic is really quiet when the hands free does work? I tried recording a voice-memo when connected to car play and Bluetooth and my voice is very very quiet, even when speaking loudly towards the mic.

 

I’m having the same problem in the 2021 TRD off-road. But it’s not Bluetooth I’m Plugged in to the head unit. Usually using Apple CarPlay
