I've read how everyone loves the Michelin Defender 265/75/16 tire and there's a million posts here about All Terrain/Off Road 285/75/16 tires with the rub/no rub.

I havent read anything about going with a Michelin Defender 285/75/16.

I would like the larger tire look, but with a quiet ride and wonder if the Michelin Defender in a 285 would look good and give a bit of a lift to my 2020 Pro.

I searched TW for pix and cant find a truck rolling on Michelin Defender 285/75/16 tires.

Reviving old thread because i'm also curious as to what these tires would look like in this size on our trucks (although i'm a 2nd gen).

I have ran them on my 99 the last three sets. Great tire, do they make them in a 285?

10 ply or probably load range E for LT applications. Going to be a stiffer sidewall and a rougher ride.

Check Costco pricing, it might be better. They usually have a Michelin promo in the fall that includes dismount/mount/lifetime balance and rotation for free, or very low cost.

I just installed 1 month ago the Michelin Defende LTX MS 265-65r-17 and love them. I had the Firestone Destination but these Michelin have a more aggressive thread, very quiet and soft ride so I am impressed with them. just sying

Nice! I currently run 265/75/16 all terrains but was thinking for my next set to bump up to a 285 (purely for looks) in the Michelin Defender. Just a thought for now, was curious what they would look like.

Thanks for this post you guys, just put them on my wife’s RAV4 today and they ride quieter than any other tires it had. Was also pleasantly surprised that they come with an 80k mile tread wear warranty
