I might as well have them replaced if 49 lbs is way too much. Thanks!

I personally think these are the best road tire made and especially in you live in snow and ice. I have them on my wifes SUV and will put them on my OR next time. I currently run with the Michelin AT2 but these will be better for the 99% that I'm on the road.

Anyone go with the Michelin Premier LTX? It’s higher rated on Consumer Reports FWIW

they didn't have the size I needed for those, and their wearout warranty is less than the Defenders

Makes sense. Hey-I’ve read through this thread and the only downside is the lack of an aggressive looking sidewall which is what I’m looking for as well. What do y’all recommend for a great all around tire good on hwy but also has an aggressive look to it?

im looking for a AllSeason tire myself and really don't want to spend the money on the MICHELINs my research I keep coming back to the General Grabber HTS60 all season tire, as far as AT tire I would say Michelin AT2 if u got the money they handle just as good as an all season tire does on the highway and look good for a TRD offroad https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/videoDisplay.jsp?ttid=209&videoID=412

Fortunately I’m going to get the tires covered under warranty so money isn’t an issue. I don’t have a TRD OR just looking to make my 2WD SR5 look more like a 4x4 and of course handle the mountains and snow of Colorado. Thanks for the recommendation on the Grabber’s and Michelin’s I’ll ask discount what they think too.

Sorry to be off topic, but Matte Grey TRd rims on a red Tacoma FTW every time. Love that combo.

I might be mistaken but I think the Pathfinder tires are off shoots of KUMHO tires from Korea

I’m going with stock sized Michelin Defender LTX M/S and will be getting them as soon as they arrive at Discount Tire. I’ll be driving from the Midwest to the Southwest on em soon so I’ll be sure and report back with a review :)

Good all around tire on and off road. Mud, snow and sand. Mileage not so good though.
Bought Cooper ATP this time because they are American made.

good idea to stay with the stock size, if you go even 1 size bigger it will eat into your MPGs and the way the truck handles, perfect tires for that cruise.

Love love love the Defenders. When I test drove / purchased my truck the stock tires had flat spots, test drove 2 others, one was worse than mine and one was better, they asked if I wanted the tires from the better one. Told them I loved the truck but wanted different tires because I didn't trust them so they let me pick out anything. Had defenders put on our RAV and knew how good they were, now they are also on the Tacoma.

Just bought a set of 4 Michelin Defenders for one of our cars, $70 rebate and 10% eBay Bucks.

They claim they’re 80,000 mile tires. I’ve had them before on cars and my 1st Gen, they really are awesome tires, quiet and better MPG.
