The OEM Goodyear Kevlar tires on the TRD OR have been amazing so far for me after almost 12k miles. Ride smooth and quiet. Great snow traction. Have put over 200 miles on them off roading in the Nevada desert and the have been great...not to mention they give great mileage. I have found no reason to change them out at this point. Only improvement they could use is they are not great in sticky clay desert mud...but then again what is that isn't a true mud tire (attached is a picture of them in full use through the desert mud).

I would roll with them until there is a reason to replace them.

I transferred my GY tires to my 1st gen when I up sized the tires on the 3rd gen. Tires have been very good so far after 18 months.

I thought the stock Good Year tires were pretty good for the 3500 miles I used them.
Now the wheels and tires are just giant paper weights. I should probably sell them. They aren't doing any good in my garage.

It seems it's overwhelmingly in favor to keep the goodyears and run them. I'll miss the beefier look of mine but there's that whole gas mileage and new California Gas Tax thing to consider :annoyed:

They're alright. They're a highway tire that does mild off-road decently. I'd prefer Duratrac's and that's what will be going on in the future.

Yeah, that's my thread, and note the title has been edited to read "5 flat tires in 1 year".

If you plan on riding in rocky terrain, I'd upgrade. Over 13 months I had 5 flat tires. Granted at least 2-3 of these were screws/nails in the road, but just got a rock puncture last weekend. That was the final straw. I'll be upgrading to a beefier tire. The Goodyears are pretty soft. I really liked them on the road.. even after the first 2 or so flats, but now it's fucking ridiculous. Shouldn't have to buy all new tires on a 13-month old truck.
However, if you're not going to be in rocky terrain, they might work for you!

Limited wheels, extra rope hooks in bed.
I won't waste my money on anything but Michelin LTX M/S

But I don't off road hardly at all.

They ride great, last a long time and get good traction.

I have the stock Goodyears with Kevlar on my 2016 TRDOR. I am at 50,000 miles and they have worn from 11/32 to 5/32. Since they are 60,000 mile tires, I feel that I will easily get that and maybe more. Very satisfied and I will most likely go back with them when I do buy tires.

When you went to 265-75 did you notice any difference in throttle response or overall feel of power?

It’s hard to beat Michelin for the road. They are great tires. Not good at all offroad though.

Agreed. Looks great. I assume that's Barcelona Red. Looks red-er in these pics than I recall. Nice.
