you draw a line across the tire with chalk and drive...if the edges dont touch the chalk doesnt get disturbed...then its got too much pressure. if the center doesnt get disturbed then the pressure is too low...you want the chalk like evenly disturbed across the face of the tread

Just installed my new Michelin LTX A/T2's on my 2010 TRD Sport DBL CAB. Replaced stock Bridgestone Duelers. Immediate difference in feeling the road, turning corners, accelerating.

... ^^^ ... I put those on my 2009 Tacoma before I sold it ... and love those tires ... the difference from OEM tires was 180 degrees ... :D

I will probably get those tires again when I get to 20K miles on my present 2011 OEM tires ... or I might try the MS2s this time ...

It will either be A/T2s or M/S2s for sure ... :D

I had Michelin M/S 2's on my 08 F150 and they were GREAT year round, will definitely buy them again when I need replacements on my Tacoma. The handling must be amazing on a TRD with the suspension as these even made that big stock Ford truck handle quite well.

My dad had the AT2 on his tundra...at 30k they started falling apart...chunks were coming off so bad it was making them out of balance...they gave him warranty credit and got the MS2 for free...likes them better so far

I have ran both the M/S2 and the A/T2. I currently have the A/T2's on and to be honest the M/S2 are a nicer tire. I, the same as you prefer the look of the A/T, but the M/S definitely outperform in cold, snowy weather. The M/S has a softer sidewall and gives a more forgiving ride.

I do wish the M/S2 looked more aggressive but how do you argue with performance that people are getting with them. I really like the looks of the BFG Rugged Terrain T/A, but they just haven't totally proven themselves just yet compared to the M/S2s.

ive never heard of buying a tire for "looks" until i started visiting here. this is the only connection between you and the road. buy based on performance that and specs that you require.

i will throw my two cents into this thread that the Michelin MS2s has been the quietest, best performing tires ive ever owned on a pickup truck. Im only into these tires for 5000 miles but i love them. they are so quiet and smooth on the highway, perform great in the rain.

Haha no problem! These are definately some of the best tires out there. Mine have 30k on them and are still working flawlessly and still look almost brand new. They are definate champs in all forms of weather. :)

    ... ^^^ ... LTX MS2s do look like your "Granny's Tires" ... ... however their performance is super. Best tires I have ever owned - LTX-AT2s & LTX-MS2s ... :D

When my OEM BFGs get to 15,000 or so, then I will put MS2s on again. It is amazing the change in a vehicle performance when you go MS2.

I have the ms2s id prefer them over the ats theres not really much of a difference except tread pattern and they did fin off road in water and mud...i thought they would have sucked but they handled everything well surprisingly

It's true, like most of you I would prefer the look of a more aggressive tire, but you can not overlook how well these perform. If you think about it, they have a 100% direct relation to how safe they are going to keep you on the road. Their performance is second to none, and they hold up like champs. the 70k milage warrenty on them is excelent, and im told they go much further than that. When mine wear out, I will be replacing them with the same tire.

I figure I can change other aspects on my truck for a "more aggressive" look and keep these tires for their sheer awesome performance ability.

I've had mine for 3(?) years now, at least 20,000 miles if not more and they are barely worn. I know they are an 80,000 mile tire so I'll be interested to see exactly how long these last. For any of you who have had the ms2's for a long time, how was the performance when they finally started wearing thin?

Hey I have a question for all of you guys out there who also have on the M/S2s. Did any of you replace your full size spare with one? Mine is still the stock dunlap. I've often considered replacing it with the same size M/S2, I wonder sometimes since my M/S2s are bigger, if I ever got a flat, and put on the spare, if it would mess up my truck becuase the one tire is smaller, or if it wouldnt matter all too much. Then I wonder, will the bigger tire fit in the spare tire space...anyone have any experience with this? Thanks for your input!
