Thanks for the info - I wonder if a softer sidewall with increase body roll? My LTX on my Chevy handles like a sports car literally speaking -

75 sounds great but on a 16 might look odd IMO - I'll have to scour some photos of 70 and 75 with white letters out to make the final cut -

Anyone have insight that the softer side wall on a P version 0n a 70 or 75 will increase body roll?

I can't address that question directly- but I did just read in another post that one guy was absolutely amazed when he compared the thickness of the sidewall in the stocks to the thickness in the MS2's. MS 2's were much stiffer/thicker than stock. And I'm pretty sure he was talking about the P. Not many guys running the E load.

I had the e load tires on my tacoma but then I put them on my k1500. I lost a good bit of mpg with e load. I'd personally go with the passenger tire instead esp since I'm not hauling anything that needs an e load tire

Hello, the "P" stands for passenger car and "LT" for light truck, I like the "P" series better because they are softer side walls and ride better. I tow and haul a little with mine and have no problems and you should be fine also, if want a heavy duty tire and need a 8-10 ply one go with the "LT" E-rated but it will not ride like the "P" series. I have the AT/2s and really like them also very quiet and smooth riding, here's a link to the letters on the tires....http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/infoReadingSidewall.do

Awesome thank you - looking like I'm going to pull the trigger on the P 265/75/16 MS/2s

Anyone have a pic with 75s?

I have these on my 3rd gen 4Runner and I've put a bunch of tires on this thing. The MS 2's are the smoothest riding tire I've ever felt on this truck. 265/70/16 and you will notice that this tire has a larger sidewall than other brand tires of the same size. This is what helps sock up the bumps. I swear it was like I put brand new soft shocks on the truck. I really like the updated sidewall. The MS1's were very generic looking and the MS2 looks the part. 10 times smoother than the Duellar HL's I had on there.

Are these pics both tacos? Or is one a 4Runner? What size tire is on the TRD rim in this pic?

Yes, I ended up going back to stock size tire. I went with the X Radial LT from Costco. I gained, on average 2 mpg. City driving there isn't a noticeable difference, but freeway driving I've seen just north of 21 mpg, whereas before high 17's are the best I'd see. I'm happy with the traction and ride these tires provide.

Just got my new set of 265/75/16 LTX MS/2s, Hot dang these tires look massive unmounted !!
I couldnt close my tonneau cover and couldnt fit them all laying down. They look
sooooo big lol - They're heavy as sh*t too. 45lbs each.

I did so much dang homework going from Yoko Geolanders. I WANTED the
P Metric but after reading a lot of truckers reviews, the P was too soft and mushy
of a ride but obviously lighter with stock maintained MPGs. The P weigh about
6lbs less then the LTX Load E -

I didnt want such a heavy duty "road" tire, I did want a better nobby more all terrain
"look" but to face the truth im more of a commuter then a crawler. Not many people
say how much they LOVE the way their Michelin AT/2 perform, they rave more about the
"look" - Ill drop 30K mile in 1 year easy and had to bite the bullet on the more "road"
looking tire that will out perform. I have them on a 00 Chevy Express and have never been
so blown away by a tires performance that I vowed to always buy MS/2s from that day forward.

I only grabbed these in 75 because i got the brand new set for $600 flat +$90 mount n balance
the cheapest I ever was quoted after a few weeks was $878.00 everyone else was more. I
would have rather bought 265/70s but for a savings of $300 I had no choice.

I slide them on Saturday, ill take pix and tell you how they feel. My Yokos are sooo effing loud
I cant wait to get them off but damn they look good, even worn oit they look so good to me
plus im a fan of awesome white wall lettering, but Im a little nervous about the height and weight of these Michs.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
Well I was going to get the MS2 in the next few weeks but BJ'S has the AT2s for less each tire. What to do . . . What to do ????? I like the look of the AT but MS probably has better mpg. I know the MS2 should last a little longer. Don't off road much at all and when I do its an old forest road or a field.

I've had both. Haven't had the at2s for 118,000 miles like I did the ms2s but they seem like the same tire to me. I doubt you're giving up much mileage with the AT2 and for most people they'll probably dry rot before going bald anyway

I agree with you regarding mileage. Haven't driven on the AT's but I bet they make a lot more noise on the highway?

    not that I've noticed.
They look really similar honestly with some small scallops taken out of the outside tread blocks.
I don't think I could tell (by driving) which tire I had on the truck if you switched them out on me.

Huh, those AT's aren't nearly as agressive as I thought they were. Thanks for posting. Looks like an excellent balance for those on the road most of the time but would like an AT tire.

I do quite a bit of 4wheeling. They're an excellent tire for anyone who doesn't like buying tires every other year and likes great performance and a great ride.
Doubt I'll ever run anything else.
