If anyone doubts the capabilities of this tire offroad (the Load Class E version), check out this thread:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hypoxic-chronology.342497/

I has the P version on my 1st gen and loved them. Considering getting them again as a more practical version for DD/multitasking that the Cooper ST Maxx I have now on the 2nd gen.

I got mine at 4 Wheel Parts in Oct. 2017 for 438.80. I just called them and they're 435.00 now.
That's for the big blue and yellows not the TRD Offroad Bilsteins.

Thanks Ken, I researched Bilsteins (4600 & 5100) on line, found a “deal” on a set of 4, but heard Bilstein makes 2 different build qualities; one to OEM specs and one to HD specs.
So I made a trip to 4WP in Glendale to get the straight skinny. The man behind the curtain (counter guy) got me on track AND at a good price. So I’ll get a new set of 5100s put on next week.
    Woo Hoo!

Looks good. I like the white letters. Wish mine had that option.

Piling on, as this thread helped me decide. I too wish they looked more aggressive. But they are quiet and sticky as hell on rainsoaked roads. This is my DD, so ultimately those factors are huge. These are P rated 265/70/16

Just had a 265/75-16 Duratrac shit the bed today. About 100k km in, so I can’t complain. You’re helping me make up my mind on next summer tires. I’ve had BS T/A KOs and the GY Duratracs for summer duty. Both have let me down. Both have slipped or broken belts to become egg-shaped on multiple tires which, as you can imagine, doesn’t lend to smooth rolling. I’m getting too old for such shit… I’m not even a high-demand user!

I've used this Michelin model (diiferent size) for years on my Tundra.

Now enjoy them (265/75-16) on my Tacoma:

Holy shit I’d forgotten this. I’ve got 58k miles on this set since I wrote that and they are still amazing. Really impressed. I’ve done towing in the mountains, dragging people out of ditches in 20” of snow, highway miles, water passes. Lots of mild off road activity, some with a small boat in tow. Literally zero complaints. 4D8B8FA1-9201-438A-97DE-90C0992CB7E6.jpg
