Hi All, just installed 4 new Michelin X radials on my 2012 Taco 4X4 ,they are really quite and smooth at 50 MPH and below but seem to vibrate above that on high ways!I first thought it was road surface but that doesn't seem to be the case, the installer said it may be the steel Taco rims that are sometimes hard to seat the bead and will rebalance them, has anyone else experienced this?

Sounds like a lazy instal team or old equipment issue.

Balance weights can always be adjusted to make a wheel smooth over60 mph unless the wheel is bent.

My thought is that if the tires were balanced correctly it wouldn't matter what the speed was.

Tacoma wheels should be "Road Force Balanced". This is a well known issues on these forums. If not balanced properly they cause vibrations at speed.

You dont balance a tire, you balance a wheel.

it's not the tire it is the install job

    go back have them rebalanced

hard to seat the bead on steel rims ? BULLSH*T

you have a rim of (any type) you have an excellent tire (Michelin)
they install perfect when done by someone who knows how to lube the bead
