The country roads seem endless and are beautiful there. We found a mixed traffic (no DNR sticker needed) trail / road that went North almost all the way to US-10
It's an easy but fun trail that should be safe on the paint too.

There are designated camp grounds there and I believe camping is permitted throughout most of the forest

Hell yeah. Idk how many we can get, but if we schedule a weekend late August or early September, I'd be totally down. Probably make a weekend of it and do some camping too.

What do you think about Big Rapids August 22nd? It sounds like most people would be willing to hit the trails, I would be willing to go out there once more before the meet to make sure (using my track app) the rout is good fun and won't harm new paint or or anything else.
Should we start a new thread / poll and see who can make August 22 / 23 and trail ride yes or no?

This is looking good! I am interested. I would just need to know ahead of time if I need to bring extra gas and about how long we would be out.

If we meet for brunch in Big Rapids there is gas there for everyone to top off. The trail I would suggest goes North to the Baldwin area where there is more gas and a subway and plenty more trails or an easy exit out

The trail I am familiar with starts closer to White Cloud. Hey Marsh is slightly north east of Big Rapids White Cloud is slightly southwest

Hwy 131 goes through Big Rapids there is a Jimmy John's by Lowes & Menard's I can get the address and we could all start from there. I also noticed a Myers in that area too.

The trails I have in mind for the August 22 meet can be done in a stock truck. There are only one or two sandy hills that might require 4x4
Just a scenic cruise through the forest with occasional stops for photo opportunity and socialize.

I sure would love to see this come together.

October 17th, Fall Troll Colors Tour!

I don't have specifics yet, but it should be a trail ride in northern MI that is normally filled with Jeeps but should be gentle enough for even a stock taco. I'll post more info when it's available. I'm planning on going and would encourage other MI taco owners to as well.

I'll go if you will and maybe a few more will commit by then. Haven't got much response to the roll call, everyone that is interested in this meet should chime in on the other thread.
