I'm not a big fan of Silver Lake, but I love running the two tracks and forest service roads.
I'll keep an eye on this post to see if anything comes together come spring.

It looked like they did some good runs last year, unfortunately I couldn't make any of them. I'm getting an itch to go crawl through some trails.

@Uncle Jimmi I nominate you as the organizer for the first run of the year. You organized a few last year that looked like fun.

I think you might be mistaking me for another member! All is good though, I would be down to organize something but I just don't know the trails in and around Michigan!!

I'm new to Michigan - moved to Mount Pleasant last summer. I saw the pictures from some of the runs last year, but didn't have a chance to try to go along as we were busy settling in. Would love to try to make it the next time.

I've been working my life away lately but I can work on that it's getting to be that time of year again. The wife and I just went for a ride today and it was awesome.

Well it's nice to see the list is growing.
I'm always happy to plan a route.
Leota is a great place to start.
The Tin Cup and Manistee National Forest
area from White Cloud north is endless trails.
    Let's talk dates,,,

Any of you guys MTB? I want to head up to Gaylord this summer to stay at my family cottage to fish, ride, and maybe shoot. Would be cool to meet some member up there, maybe you guys know of some good trails or places I can shoot? I usually hit Aspen park as it's just down the road from me there. Fun little park with excellent single track. I don't really do much of that gnarly stuff anymore.

Hey guys, Michigan resident my whole life.

I've hit Bundy, Silver Lake, Rocks & Valleys, Drummond, trails in the Grayling, Petoskey area, and I can't say I'd recommend taking a nice or newer truck to the offroad parks like Bundy, Rocks & Valleys, and the offroad park at Drummond. I've had a great time there with Jeeps, and I would recommend them if you're not taking a DD or if you're not afraid of a little body damage.

Drummond state trails are great, and likely within the capability of a taco. I've had my own up there, but it's an OR version (locker) and I'm very comfortable with my vehicle. It was an enjoyable day with minimal scratching, a dented tail-pipe and otherwise no damage. I'd recommend going when the water is low (not spring).

The state trails near Grayling, Petoskey and Silver Lake are also enjoyable with a taco.

If you guys are looking to have a good time, with a little bit of challenge, but no damage and minimal scratching I'd really hit up the Petoskey area, Grayling, or Silver Lake. I'd really enjoy a trail-ride day in those areas myself.

I just did a trip a few weekends ago with Michigan Overland and Overland Bound in the Yankee Springs area. There are some nice trails there and lots of dirt and some pretty crazy holes in the Allegan state hunting area.
