From South Branch to St. Helen's on snowmobile rout 6. It's mixed traffic and leagle.
We also started in Tawas and some /most of the trail was off limits so we took seasonal and forest roads until South Branch

Cool. I live in St Joe and Kayak the St Joe a bit. I usually start from the Dam in Berrien Springs and run to Jasper Dairy boat launch or Riverview park. Haven't been out in about a month so I'm not sure how much current there is now.

It's my first time on it, and I'm looking forward to it. I haven't done much kayaking on that side of the state yet.

    Hey Uncle Jimmi,

Are you planning on going out again next Saturday the 22nd? I'm getting the itch to get out and the colors are going to be great.

Works for me. I can start as early as 10. Where are we going to end up roughly? And anything that needs 4wd? That would be fun.

If we take rout 37 to the north it goes near Twisted Trails. A pay to play off road park. they have activities this weekend and require flags on vehicle.
$15 pr person to enter and they sell the flags for $30
Personally, I'm not into that for this trip but throwing that out there.
Either rout has some areas that 2 wheel drive will struggle if can make it at all. St. Helen's scramble area is mostly sand dune but sill fun and free.
Some of the routs have hills and wash outs but not bad and many of the miles are relaxing and smooth.

I know this map is crude but gives an idea as to the rout we will be taking. The app for snowmobiles is a free download from Polaris.
They are calling the trail from Leota "Fur Farm" and it leads to #6 and 6 goes through Rosscomon, St. Helen, West Branch to South Branch

    Awesome, yes 10:00 AM
Parking is an issue at this place but one block to the north / behind C&D is a water tower and small parking lot. I'm thinking we should get coffee and a doughnut then meet there.

I like it. Hopefully other people will join in too! I don't think it has to be Toyota exclusive either. I'm planning on bringing some precooked brats, good hotdogs and buns. Jimmi bought last time we went out, I figure I can share. Mustard, ketchup, relish, onions? Anyone want anything else?

My wife is from Michigan and we want to do an overland trip through the UP. Anyone have any routes or off the grid cool spots they would like to share? I'm having a hard time finding mapped out routes and would appreciate the local help.
