I've had a lot of experience with JCR parts on my jeep in the past (same company/same owner - JCR for jeeps, Victory for Toyota's). Everything's always been well built and high quality, and they've been building armor for a long time.

I was on the fence about trying their aluminum transfer skid. Ordered one just after black friday and it was ready for pickup rather quickly, like just a few weeks and much earlier than expected.

I ordered sliders on black friday that I will be waiting for a while longer, and I ordered some bags in middle november from another vendor that I am still waiting for, so it was nice to get something much earlier than the estimate for once.

What bags? Rear bags? There's some good places in West Michigan for those.

Also, what would cause you to sell your Tacoma?

Saw this local ad for a taco, looks slightly modified, wonder if anyone here knows about it? https://toyotaofgrandrapids.com/sal...7-toyota-tacoma-trd-offroad-3tmcz5an6hm101708

I order up a gear recovery bag and a couple other small items from a bag maker on Nov 13 and still have not received anything. A little surprised by that but I did ask for a non-stocked color and they said it could take a while so patience is key.

Anyone have experience running this trail in Michigan? It starts near Higgins Lake just off US-127. I’ve attached some pictures of the map. A large one showing the whole trail and a couple close ups with some town names for location. I’ve rode dirt bike trails in this area but never was looking for a trail for my truck until now.

I’m wondering a few things things:
    1) Are the map dimensions true or is it wider than advertised, is this trail too narrow for a taco from those who drove it?
    2) What are the conditions/terrain like for anyone who has run this trail?

    Reserected from the dead.
some may now be snowmobile trails.

You are also near Camp Grayling National Guard training areas.

I spent my youth running the forest trails around Houghton lake. They were all runnable with a front wheel drive car or a basic 4x4.

This looks like you might be using the DNR ORV map. http://midnr.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=1710727ba3ec4c64928110fdb4f7799d
That map will tell you the brown lines are ORV routes (72"+ allowed) So those are usually plenty wide for a full size truck. The red lines are trails, Like for quads (50" or less).

That is near the St. Helen Rec Area. That has some cool features like a sandy area and some rocks to crawl around on.

Hey all! Anyone here around Grand Rapids?

I'm looking to pull some parts off a truck in a salvage yard but the employees aren't being helpful as to informing me to what's left on the truck. I'd rather not drive a couple hours each way if the parts are already stripped! I'll PM you a few parts I'm looking for. Thanks!

Man the UP has a ton of truck trails. Get a set of county maps of Michigan, reach out to the local tourism Dept of Sault Saint Marie, also known as The Soo. If you get near the Keweenaw Peninsula there is an awesome trail just past Copper Harbor. About 7-8 miles long and ends at the tip of the peninsula on Lake Superior, beautiful.

Can confirm the copper harbor area is beautiful.

It's time for me to start shopping for a lift kit. I know little to nothing about the topic, other than the fact that I know I want a suspension lift. I'm in Grand Rapids. Any decent shops around I could talk to about everything I need and pricing? Preferably one that can deal with an idiot on the topic such as myself.

So, are you just looking for a shop to install everything for you? Or are you handy and asking where to buy parts to install yourself? I am also in Grand Rapids.

I haven't had any personal dealings with them, but Venom Motorsports is in GR
    https://www.venomusa.biz/

Another is Cascade 4wd, they have been around forever. They are mostly Jeep, but I would assume they will do Yotas too.
    http://www.cascade4wd.com/

If you have any specific questions about lifts, tire size, etc... I'm sure many of us in this thread will be happy to answer them.
