Anyone in central Michigan have a hookup on tires or low mileage tires for sale? I’m looking for 265/70r17, LT all-terrains, C or E rated, and leaning towards Falken Wildpeaks or Toyo Open Country AT3W.

Kool Toyota had buy 3 get 1 for $1 but not sure if they have that tire or if the sale is still going on. Had them print me up a quote and took it to discount tire and they price match.

Thank you for the heads up! I just saw that deal and I am going to do the exact same thing if they have the right tires.

The last time I bought tires, I found the best price and my Belle Tire here in Midland matched the price.

They didn't have them in stock so I made an appointment for the following week.

They dropped the ball and didn't get them to the store the day we planned. They overnighted the tires from Grand Rapids and gave me a 10 percent discount to come back the next day.

What type of tires did you have them quote you for? I just spoke to Toyota of Grand Rapids and they said they are able to get the Toyo Open Country AT3, but cannot get Falken Wildpeaks or BFG KO2.

Here is some information that I found searching this morning. Toyota of Traverse City and Toyota of Battle Creek has the best pricing from what I could tell.
The website below will allow you to search dealers by zip code. Click on the “Tire Center” link in the dealer info and it will take you to the dealer website to enter vehicle information and populate the available tires.

    https://www.toyota.com/owners/parts-service/monthly-promotion/TireSavingEvent

The dealers that I called would not order different tires from what is on the list. Below are the three that I narrowed it down to and the pricing from Toyota of Traverse City. I had them email quotes for each tire and will be taking the quote to Discount Tire for price matching once I decide on a tire.

I didn’t have Toyota quote me at cost, but I think I got a decent deal. I called the dealer with cheapest prices and had them email me quotes on 3 different types of tires.

I decided on Toyo Open Country AT3 tires, took the dealership quote to Discount Tire and they matched it no questions asked. They were also gracious enough to give me the Veteran’s discount in addition to the price match.

All told for the tires, install and tax it came out to $643. Maybe could have shaved more off with some more searching, but I’m happy with the price.

Belle Tire in Petoskey is who I went with, they price matched Tire racks price, which was cheap as hell for Geo m/ts

annnnnd now for the bad news...took mu pups to their Spa day over near M119, and found a few trails in Emmet County I havent run before. Was snowing early this morning as I arrived but figured I'd give it a whirl..got to the top of a washed out hill, and no where to go, the road was just gone...so I tried to turn around on the trail, without a spotter...and :(IMG-5256.jpg

Kool quoted me on tires last year before I got my Cooper AT3's. They only used a part number so I wasn't sure what tires they were quoting me. Either way I wasn't impressed so I ordered online and had Kool mount them.

Looks like a beautiful ride. Tough break on the bumper. On the bright side you do have an excuse to get yourself a fancy bumper.

I had the parts guy quote me at cost for specifically the GO15, I told him my thrifty plan. He worked with me. I also give him money for parts so that might of helped. I try to build a business type relationship with the companies I use in my community, get to know their names, thank them for their hard work. It seems to go along way. Donuts also help those relationships, I’m old school.

Nope, Its a C-17 Globemaster III, the last plane I crewed. Worked C-5s back in the 90s, along with the C-141s.

Grew up a mile from the runway at an Air Force Base, used to listen to them rattle our dishes at 3 AM while they warmed up their engines. Loved watching those things takeoff and land as a kid..

I've never had a bad experience there. They've always explained everything very well. They're still like any dealership and tell me why X isn't covered under my Toyota care plan, but still. I'm there every 5k religiously to the point where I think they know my name. But there are many reasons for that
