That's a horrible idea. What time?
Looks like a fun weekend. Thought about trying to get up there, but the timing wasn't right this year. Then Covid paid visit. Maybe next year I can get back "home."

Thank you and absolutely. Just make sure to tell me you want a ride and I will make sure you get one. When there are alot of people around I dont offer because others get offended I did not offer them one.

We will be up a few more times this year also. If anyone sees us just stop one of our group and they can get me on the radio if you can not catch me.

Cool. Where you there under the tent when it was raining and a lot of people had left? I came too late for the pic I think but my husband and I were standing around like dorks and I talked to the people with the beagle and a guy. I didn't catch any names but the red tacoma was there.

It was likely me. I was under the tent most of the day. The guy with the beagle is Jeremy ( NewHolland Overland) I was in a grey Alpinestars hoodie I think, Shorter dude with Red Jacket is Andy, and Tall guy with glasses is Brent.

I’m taking the truck out of the garage this weekend and driving up to Gaylord/Frederic area, if you flip me off because I’m not going faster than 65, I’ll take in consideration that that’s the way you wave high… I might even blow you a kiss.

I'm usually "that guy" doing 70 in a 75. Amazing the MPG difference that 5 MPH makes.

    Edit; this was today:
70 MPH to work: 22.1 MPG
80 MPH from work: 17.5 MPG
    - wind and elevation were about the same, about 90 miles total.

That's getting really close to the results I'm seeing too. Most of the freeways up here have a 75mph speed limit so 80mph is really the norm. I could use a little wider ratio in 6th gear with the manual.

Be better if 5th also wasn't an overdrive imo

This is true. I'm not sure what Toyota was thinking with 2 overdrive gears and not widening 6th for these high speed freeways. My 2nd gen manual got to 1/1 in 5th so the only OD was 6th. Of the 2 the 3rd gen is "easier" to drive though.

To be fair, the GM/Ford 10 speed has 3 OD gears. OD gears are where your MPG really comes in because of low RPM. It's just a fact that above 60-70, MPGs drop dramatically, especially in pickups due to aerodynamics.

24.6 mpg 127 miles a lot of extra stops, and loaded, and it’s been a little humid. The dryer air makes such a noticeable difference.. The cruise control is so confused on these long slow hill grades, I’m also not even at 1800 total miles on the truck so I think it’s still learning. Definitely less downshifting while not on cruise. Just breaking in the header, it’s helping with less downshifting on the heavy little 4 banger.

All depends how/where you drive it:

Contrary to what it may seem, these were not downhill drives.
