So I went out to the sweeter rd area tonight after playing some hockey and it is ON! The place seams pretty legit, even had to use 4x4 to get back up one of the hills. Nothing dangerous, just some steep(er) hills. Matt you should be good to go, but still a fairly nice trail system from the little that I explored.

How would this saturday (NYE) around 11am sound?

Well like I said, next weekend I will be busy but yal are more than welcome to go for it. Its very close to where we went last time except we would go east instead of north from where we all met up.

Technical details: the trails are about the same as the first trail we went on last time; fairly compact dirt especially being mostly frozen dirt now. Part of it runs along a power-line "alley" which is a bit more sandy but my stock height did just fine. I could probably have made it in 2 if i went a bit faster. Very little mud on the trails, mostly just frozen dirt. and I saw no rocks/crawling material but then again i didn't go that far back into the woods

I wish I could find the time to meet up with you guys sometime and ride around. With 2 kids it's hard to find time to do anything except hike with cub scouts, and watch basketball games.

    Maybe someday :(

My sr5 possibly sits a little lower than your TRD. I'm sure you'll be fine. I have yet to have any carnage on my trucks body with stock height.

Gooch...how old are the kids? Yankee where I go wheeling has some near by hiking/ mountain bike trails that are a blast! Challenging in the winter time but still a good time. If they would be interested in camping there is a near by rustic camp ground that is very family oriented and alcohol free area. Its a real good time.

They're 9 and 3. Taking them with isn't the problem, they'd have fun trail riding for a while, it's finding time to do it.

Don't suppose any of you with 05+ model year Tacomas are interested in factory tubular step rails for Double-Cab? They're black and currently on my 2011 with only 2500 miles. Toyota sells them for $439 I'll sell them tons cheaper practically new.

Around west MI I would recommend Hansen's Collision. I know they are a chain, but I dont know if they are over in the Detroit area. I go to them usually with odd random painting jobs and they do a reallyyy quality job every time, been very pleased.

so we going to hit the trails in the next few weekends? Sounds like we have snow coming. I just have to plan ahead and get the truck back together.

Let me know what you guys are thinking.
