Drummond is awesome! Stop by the Bear Track Inn and say hi to Steve Walker. He is the go-to guy on the island for offroading and trail conditions (nice guy too!). Make a trip to Marblehead and Fossil beach. The Tight & Twisties is just that and it can be pretty wet in spots. If you are alone (unless you are winched), I wouldn't recommend running it but Steve can tell you the shape its in probably.

BTW, there were some Jeeps up there at the begining of August that drove on Fossil beach. They accessed through private property too no less. I know the plates were reported to the DNR but I haven't heard any outcome from it. Needless to say, they are not highly thought of on DI.

    Have fun!

I'm hoping to be able to get up there a couple times this next year, give enough advanced notice , might be able to get quite a few tacoma guys in.

I also read about those jeeps on michigan wheelers.

I headed up. With a few other buddies, I'm pretty excited. Gunna camp all week and see if I can't hit a tree on the ol dirt scoot. We should get a taco meet in the works before snowfall

A buddy of mine takes his built Wrangler up to Drummond Island. It's pretty hard on the vehicles, from what I know. I'd be all about making a trek up there, so long as the trails we choose won't destroy my mostly stock -for now- Taco.

Just went to Michigan and saw this sick Tacoma in Gaylord. It was about a week ago, I believe the 29th of August. It was a Speedway Blue double cab, trd sport, long bed, had a 3 inch lift I think, and some chrome wheels. I'm going by memory but being that tacomas are hard to go by in michigan, I'm assuming that person is on the forums. Anyone know who's truck that is?

Haha alright. I usually do my wheeling down in yankee springs or another seasonal road close by (It got way to torn up, 7 ft drop now.) Got some pretty good albums on your facebook link there. You should get some good shots of my zx6-r sometime!

HA well funny you should ask, although the gf would probably kill me for another girl being on it besides her...bbuuutt I have this undertail fender eliminator from Hotbodies racing...it only makes sense to have a hot body bent over showing both tails :p
    [IMG]

Even a single shot of the car in some scenic backdrop...
[IMG] Its my fathers car and I've been thinking about a good shot of the car for a christmas present or something.

Saw some of your rates on your website, I'll have to save up a bit for it maybe.

The three of us are relatively close by, could easily find some trails somewhere I would think.

Yea I think so. Drummond island has some really awesome trails but that's a long trip and a potentially dangerous place to take your daily driver. I think there is some close to grand rapids and some near traverse!

Well where I live (by Michigan's Adventure) is technically in Manistee National Forest. We have probably 15 trails of all degrees within about a 15 minute drive me of :)

As far as those rates go, those are public rates. I might be able to give you a club discount ;)
