Another Silver Lake trip in a few weeks. Sept 11 - 13th.

I will get to test out the new tires. On another note if anyone is looking for a set of 265/70-17's I am probably just going to sell my old tires. I was going to put them on my little Jeep but they are alittle bigger than I want on it.

I need to plan a trip there it looks awesome in the pictures, next year I'll mount a flag on one of my Toy's and make the reservation.
That truck looks WAY bad ass! I love the red and wouldn't change a thing, it's perfect!
For some reason red made the list of don't want when picking my new AC TRD OR
I wanted silver or white and love that I ended up with the SW
Anyway your truck would look good in any color, looks great in red.
    Have fun at the dunes

Thanks man. Red really wasn't on my list when I picked up the truck, it was the only TRD 5speed I could find back then. It has grown on me.

Just have to let me know if you are headed to the dunes and I will take you for a ride. I like the dunes because you can enjoy yourself in any vehicle and part of the fun is just watching everything that is going on.

That sounds awesome. Nice looking truck. I've never been to the dunes, always wondered what it was like lol.

Looks good man. I have TRD stickers for my truck I just haven't decided if I am going to run them or not. Originally it was just so people at the dunes would figure out it is a TOYOTA not a ranger.

The dunes are definitely something to do at least once. Everyone has a different experience but if you air down enough you can get around easy enough without beating up your truck. My truck has only been 2wd for the last year and I only have been stuck twice. Once because I stopped in supper soft stuff and was to close to other trucks to hammer down out of it. The second well that was just having fun, 4x4 weren't making it and I did the first time. Granted sliding the truck sideways through a wall of soft sand hauling balls. [IMG]

If you go to silver lake I'd really recommend going on a nice day.

I've had great days up there with good weather and some people to wheel with. Having an ATV of some sort like a RWD sport quad is a ton of fun.

Personally I don't have a good time up there in my truck, but I plan to go at least once with my cherokee buggy

That is one heck of a nice looking truck. I never realized how good these trucks looked in white until after I bought mine in spruce mica.

A group of us are going to Bundy Hill 8/29 if anyone is interested.
I will be in my Jeep but will have at least one Toyota with us.

How was Bundy?! PICS? Been wanting to go, but having a 1 year old and getting my hunting lease ready for the upcoming whitetail season is keeping me from doing any wheeling.

Bundy was ok. Not my favorite place but isn't all that bad. It isn't well marked and hard to find actual trails. Just my 2 cents.
Here are a few pics my friends posted. I will have more this weekend on our facebook page [IMG]

Fall color is coming soon. Some trees are already getting started. Mid and Northern have tons of seasonal / forest roads and ORV trails.
Beginning in two to three weeks my wife and I will be going out every Saturday until the trees are bare. I live in Coleman 48618 and like to explore new places to off road and then revisit the places we like. Almost all the trails we find can be done in a stock 4x4 as we do not have a winch and are often out on our own. The other day we did a 30 mile loop in Kalkaska then traveled south on a trail to a trailhead I never heard of in Missaukee that connects to the Houghton Lake Trails. IT WAS AWESOME!
Who wants to meet up and go trail riding in the coming weeks for the fall color change?
    Pic from last year

You should look into going with the trolls off-road group. They do a fall colors tour every year and I'm planning on going this year. I don't know if anything has been announced yet, but I think it'll be the weekend of October 17th.

You probably already know but count me in. I got my ORV and trail stickers. I just can't go the weekend of Halloween.

Going to hit the trails on Saturday still undecided / flexible where to go but leaning towards beginning in West Branch and wandering East towards Oscoda
Polaris offers a free app that maps ORV trails and routes and it shows a multi use rout connecting trails through much of the northern portion of lower Michigan. These routes have been perfect for stock 4x4 Tacoma's and other small trucks but would be very tight for full size.
