Not that I get a lot of snow in the parts of the Mid West that I live in, but are the EXP's good in snow and ice? I image they aren't bad considering where you live.

I can’t imagine they would be - they’re not 3PMS rated and don’t have a ton of siping

True statement. I don't get much snow action in Nebraska (at least for the past few years) so these might not be a bad option. Any 3PMS tires that I've ran, always seem to wear faster than I'd like (most likely due to the rubber compounds, possibly?). I wasn't impressed with the WildPeak AT's I had on my last truck.

Who has these with a decent amount of mileage on them (25K+)? I've got a set of wheels sitting for the 4runner and it'll need tires soon. I see they are now offering 285 70 17 in SL load rating, and it's only 48lbs/tire. Ready to try something other than the ko2s.

I'm commented another member . At elk camp they were doing their job I had no complaints in the snow and slippery mud on rocks . These Baja legend exp's did perform excellent.

Thanks for the follow up Sir! I'll put the EXP's on the radar.

I’m in the same boat. Been waiting ever so patiently for the snow to test mine out.

7872EE8A-E37F-4E86-A5DD-FF35E8B812E5.jpg I got out in a little snow/mud the other day. I was impressed with these tires. I didn’t air down and didn’t feel any wheel slippage at all.

Please post how much you spent on the whole thing, tires, install, alignment… I have to go that route in a few months and I want to have a real idea… I am expecting $1000 if I get lucky….

That would be lucky. The tires alone cost me $1020, but I went for it to take advantage of the $100 rebate from Mickey Thompson that was expiring. So hopefully it’ll end up being $920 for the tires. You might be able to find them on sale somewhere in the next few months though.

I’ll follow up after I have them installed, probably next week.

At Discount Tire now… Getting 255/85/17 Baja Boss A/T put on to replace my 255/80/17 Cooper ST Maxx. The Coopers were great. Hoping these will be as good.

Let us know how they compare. I’m looking to do the same change myself when these Coopers are spent

All done. 255/85/17 which is ~34.6” tall.
Rubbing? Yup at the RekGen mudflaps. I’ll get an alignment first and then decide whether to get rid of the flaps or reshape them with a heat gun.

    Enough for now
Sold, gonna book my appointment with @Discount Tire soon. My Bridgestone revo3s are worn and I need a snow rated tire. Still debating a CMR for later mods when the truck prestige’s into a weekend only vehicle
