What am Looking at here, is this the SUV version? Y not so aggressive looking as the pictures in post #393.

or is this the difference in the 116T & 123Q. I obviously don't understand tires, guess I have been oblivious by just buying BFG's for the last 15 years. I am pretty sure i am about to change and give the Baja Boss A/T a try.

I went with the 116Ts, which I think are still an attractive tire, and of course, lighter.

(116Ts on left, on right are the Toyo Open Country's on my 4Runner.)

TRD Exhaust, Mobtown bolt on sliders and aluminum tailgate reinforcement, Reverse lights changed to yellow turn signals, LED pods added for reverse, ADD W1 oil catch can, Total Chaos bed reinforcement, rear diff breather to taillight mod, 12" combo led bars behind lower grill wired to high beams, Toyota led bed light kit, 400 watt anytime mod, SSO slimeline front bumper.

These are the two tires I'm seriously looking at. Would love any feedback you have comparing them.

    1. I put both sets on end of last January. I didn't want the same tire on both, so the Toyos and Mickey's are what I settled on.
    2. They are both 3-peak rated, but I haven't had them in any slick conditions (ice/snow) yet. I'm moving further north next year where I'll live off of a dirt road, and I'll have A LOT MORE of snow, so I wanted 3-peak rated.
    3. Driving in rain for both is excellent. Note, the 4Runner is the Limited with full-time 4x4. The Tacoma in rain, great traction with Mickey's.
    4. The Toyos (265/70/17) are quiet, as I don't even hear them. i slightly hear the Mickey's (265/75/16).
    5. MPG: -1 for the Toyos from stock, -2 for the Mickey's. Mickey's do look more aggressive, of course.
    6. During the next week, I need to rotate both sets, and I'm interested to measure wear over time.

This is very helpful thank you!

Are the Toyos LT's or the lighter version? I have Open Country's now in LT (although they are AT2) and like them, but I'd like something with a little more bite for when I do go off road.

For your Tacoma would you repeat the Mickey's or is it too early to tell?

Yes, I went with the lighter tires for both, not the E rated, for mpg reasons.
Toyos are the AT3s, 115T AB
    Mickeys are 116T AB

The Mickey's do look more aggressive as they have more tread depth. Yes, I'd buy them again, assuming wear is acceptable at 20k. I look forward to trying them both out at my next house out in the woods. :)

Nice! It looks like it may be rubbing the diff a tiny bit. You can gain a little extra room by lowering the spare a little and pull it towards the hitch as you raise it back up

Nope, definitely clears the diff. The dust/dirt rubbed off of the diff was from my initial checking to see how much clearance I needed before chopping the exhaust and moving the hoist.

No, I have a DCLB. Mine is an OR and it looks like you have a Sport. I think the diff is bigger on the OR. Not sure if there are any other differences.
