Awesome, we take our Tacoma to a few halfs every year too. We are pretty far away from each other but it would be fun to see someone else dirtbaggin it out of a Tacoma at the races!

Ok I finally got the transfer case fill plug out. More like Toyota had to chisel it out. The drive train is all synthetic Royal purple now !!!

Yep sure did. No issues at all. In fact if any thing it runs quieter now. I have a manual 5 speed and not an auto as well.

Well bad news has arrived. As I was getting ready to mount my sliders I noticed a crack in the frame of my rig. It is in the area of where the right rear shock mounts to the frame. I'm at the dealer and they have determined it is not good and it would not pass state required inspection. The words...."frame replacement" have already come up. The service tech said they are not going to lift the truck as the last time they did with one similar it cracked the entire truck in half on the lift!!!!:fingerscrossed::annoyed::annoyed::violent::redxfall:

Well if all goes well with the frame issue I have another BAMF upgrade I would like to do. Found it on here too.

Great build so far! Maybe some reinforcement plates from trail gear for the frame cracks? It may be salvageable!

Thanks man...... Yeah I got a couple sliders going on with the guy took it too for plating and welding up the frame. He was pretty confident that it was fixable and said he can reinforce the usual weak issues.

Wow been a while but I have been happy with the way things are going/running on the rig. Since the quarantine started I figured I would knock a few things off. I have re-tinted the windows. Got in a heater for the camper. I new full size spare rim and tire. All my lights are mounted and wired in. Look amazing as well!!!! :bananadance::broccoli::dancingbacon::thumbsup:.

Still need to wire in the 12000lbs wench and thread it with the synthetic rope I got.

Pictures to follow... Next up on the upgrade list is

    1) 231mm front brakes.
    2) Possible TRD Super Charger.
    3) New paint and decals

Well the time has come to do an upgrade and some needed maintenance.:spending: I have ordered the PowerStop Big Brake upgrade kit for the brakes from RockAuto. Also a new M-PACT heavy duty clutch and flywheel from RockAuto for the taco. I will post pics of the products before installing them. My clutch had 83K miles on it and a lot was while towing a boat. Only the second one in 263K miles.

Love this thread! I run a roamin chariot camper full time on my 97 with 240k miles on it. She's still a work in progress but we're getting there!
