Sorry bro, don't know any mobile welders - can't you drive without the sway bar? Probably cheaper to just drive to a shop tomorrow if you can find one open on a Sunday.

Well as the OP of this thread I just wanna welcome myself back. Been on a year long hiatus dealing with a divorce and whatnot. Lol I'm back and ready to spend some monies!!! Went ahead and order tires, 5100's and 1.25" wheel spacers to start and there will be more to follow. Let the wheelin begin!

Just installed the 5100s front and back. Set at 1.75 and sit 1" nose high. Guess its time for some rear mods. Lol

    Checking in midMO.
I was lurking with my 04 PreRunner, then I traded it in on the 2012 4WD last June. It's my DD, gets about 50 miles per day. Never done any serious wheeling, but think often about light trail runs.
Next add on will be a Softtopper for cover and camping. Ride on.

I'm thinking of constructing a frame for a soft top soon. I wonder it you can buy just a canvas to cover? Anyway welcome. I originally started this thread to get a meet together but things fell through in my personal life but now I'm ready to get people out for some wheeling!

Seems like the designing, material, and labor to build a frame might be more hassle than just buying one already on the market. But I think if I had a frame I could source a top for it -- would have to think about the process to attach it to the frame/truck.

Well I was just gonna piece one together out of PVC and come up with a way to secure it to the bed when I go camping. It would not be something I daily drive around with.

Cool. Hadn't thought about PVC. The challenge would be to make it strong enough to withstand about 60 mph with canvas acting like a sail.

Love my softopper. Had it almost a year now
I did manage to split the rear window while opening it when it was -10 the other week. Was my fault, just wasn't thinking...
They shipped me a new one ,without question. Pretty nice

I you're only gonna use it offroad, pvc and a tarp secured by bungees works.
if you guys want to know about more trails in the MO area, you could get with the tornado alley section of the TLCA. they've had offroad meets in the state in several different place now.
you can find them in the club house section of www.ih8mud.com

any toyota 4x4 is welcome to TLCA.

I'm just going to go with an AllPro bed rack and throw an RTT on top of it.

I caught a used ARE Snugtop on local CL, color-matched and I couldn't resist for 550 bux. Soft top curiosity will have to wait until. . .
Nothing special, but I'll snap a pic next when I back out of the garage and practice picture posting.
