Thanks. A buddy of mine just bought a solid carrier bearing. Doesn't know when he is going to get around to installing it, but I'm curious how much it helps him. I recently filled the hollow part of my carrier with rtv to give it a more firm hold and that seemed to help a little.

You say that now, but pretty soon you'll start cutting and modifying everything. With my shock relocation in the rear, I'm past the point of no return, and have no regrets about it

yeah I have already cut the cab mount and a few other things among welded some stuff and getting ready to weld on my budbuilt trac bar.. who knows lol Idk if you seen it, but somewhere on here they were saying a ford ranger poly CB works on our trucks.. when this one goes out I was thinking of trying that one unless they come out with one for ours by then. waiting on hubs to get my tires installed too.. oh the joys of wheeling

I need suggestions on some leaf springs. Currently I have a set of deaver U402 with an overload springs on. I feel these aren't supporting the weight effectively. I have a camper shell, plate bumper, roof rack and RTT. The back is currently sitting lower than the front whereas before I added all the weight it was level. When I haul wood in the bed, the bump stops are practically on the frame.

I got my current springs used and posted about them awhile ago (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/can-anyone-identify-what-kind-of-deavers-these-are.402438/) maybe they aren't U402?

No worries, I figured that was a place to start..

My buddy here at work has the allpro expo pack with a bed rack 2 spare 35s hi-lift, 2 ton floor jack and only God knows what else and he sits perfectly level.. only thing I can offer. I am running allpro standard pack, but I am not carrying as much weight as you.

Depending on your build thoughts, you could always do a shackle flip to gain a little height in the back end plus it should help you wheeling and maybe your ride quality.. :notsure:

a shackle flip kit is certainly an option, but hopefully a set of leafs could solve it. The all pro expeditions are pretty much the only one's I am aware of.

Expo's are great if you've got a bunch of weight in the back. With no weight I easily gained 4.5"-5" of lift in the back, but when I had a good 300# in the back they were smooth as butter! They go excellent with a BAMF shock relocation and 12" shocks or the Pelfryebilt kit.

as mentioned, i also have heard good things about the allpro expos, but before my current setup, i was running the dakars. they were perfect when i had a bunch of weight in the back or was towing my toy hauler. can't see you going wrong with either of those

Does anyone know how tall the internal spacer on an extended travel and standard travel icon coilover are? Trying to see if the coilover I'm rebuilding is standard or extended travel.

Edit: Found this thread which has pictures but no measurements. Weird thing is I have two different Donahoe coilovers and they both have the smaller spacer. Wonder if they just both are extended or of Icon changed something at some point. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/icon-coilovers-question-upgrade-to-extended-travel.304723/

IIRC It's like an inch tall for standard and 1/2" for Extended travel? I might be wrong... @jberry813 would know

If its similar to how king does it, the standard shocks have a 1/2" spacer and the extended travel shocks have a 1/4" spacer.
