Don't forget loctite on the spindle to adapter bolts too. Seen a couple of those come loose.

when uniballs are brand new they can be so fkn tight that when you turn the steering wheel and the ball joint adapter on the bottom of the spindle turns the bolt/nut and uniball doesn't turn with it. The bottom of the BJ adapt turns against the bottom of the nut and when that happens it loosens the bolt when you turn the wheel...and re loosens it until your uniball is broken in a bit. Mine did it too on two separate kits and always worse on the drivers side for some reason ?

So, it didn't stop coming loose because you put loctite on it - it stopped coming lose because the thing that was causing it stopped causing it - mic drop :rimshot:

I'm pretty sure I put lock tight on 2 bolts either side not the one that goes through the uniball but the other 2... Also how do my cv angles look? I'm thinking I'm going to lower it down to 23 or should I wait a bit till the coils settle as they are brand new?

Your cv's don't look bad at all and if your coils are brand new they will settle a lot...but that also means you will have to realign it after they settle. You should have let them settle and finished adjusting them before you got an alignment amigo.

Speaking about loose bolts and tight uniballs, I never experienced the issue you guys are describing with mine. It may have to do with the fact that I had to remove the bolts and spindle assembly a few times afterwards to keep trying to fix my tearing, or sliding off the rotating cup assembly axle boots, however.

I really wish I could have and that was the plan but I had to get all new alignment tabs from toyota so I losted where I marked them and I tried to take a best guess to get it close to where I had it before but I was way off and it was trying to pull me in every direction so I had to get an alignment ASAP as it's my DD I don't might going again but it it's another 120$ but oh well I guess

Do you ever expect any play/movement in a uniball? Wondering if the teflon liner can wear out or come out and allow the uniball to develop any movement....

Guess I was kind of wondering about the limit. How much play is too much? Guess thats subjective ... "I know it when I see it"

If you are going to 5", Rubicon Express makes them. You can get them from 4wp for around 80$ i think. Unless you know someone with a Transamerican account. Then they will be a bit cheaper.

So here's an easy way to tell, grab your UCA and try to move it as much as you can, if you can feel ANY movement in the UCA, your UCA is gonna need replacing, the more play, the sooner the replacement. That bitch should be completely solid. Basically every part on your truck should be the same, if you can grab it and wiggle it, something aint right. Grab a wrench.
