Must be the long travel kings that don't. Mine didn't and one of my friends didn't get it.

Here I thought everyone went MT first. I was never going LT. Now here I am seriously thinking of doing a +2 kit.

I got bilsteins as my first lift and DSM sent me a King booklet and I thought "why'd they send this, im never spending that kind of money"... 3 months later I bought MT kings. A year later I bought LT kings. Next year ill be buying 16" kings for rear 3 link, 2 years from now ill be buying 14" kings for a SAS.

So now that I have King in the front I'm now looking to match the rear. As most of you know, the 25001-121 oem replacement kings for the rear are rather short at 15.83"-24.29". I've talked with @Downsouth Motorsports and found out that they can add a +1" rod end to the lower mounts which I'll assume yields a 16.83"-25.29" collapsed/extended dimension but will limit up travel. I currently have the icon 3 leaf aal with the tsb pack but am going to upgrade to either Dakars with the second leaf removed or the all pro standard pack (no added bed weight).

I came across the King oem replacements for the Tundra, part #25001-144 which have are 15.75"-25.88" which sounds like it would work perfect for a Tacoma with any leaf pack assuming the top and bottom mounts will fit and they are re valved for a taco. Top looks like the same stem mount and the bottom looks the same but I'm not sure about about the mounting width. Tacomas are 1.25" wide with a 12mm bolt. Has anyone ever tried this?

I know people put in Tundra bilsteins and they work well. Don't worry about loosing up travel with the 1" extended tip, you'll need your bump stop to hit so you don't rub your fenders before you bottom the shock out.

I have the OEM replacements with the 1" longer rod end was pleasantly surprised to find that they match the Dakar leaf pack travel quite nicely with the weight and mods I have. I had to put a 3/8" spacer on my super bumps but otherwise they are great. Travel isn't anything to be excited about but the dampening blows the OME shocks I had out of the water.

I forgot to mention that I won't be able to upgrade the pack for probably a few months. DSM is offering 10% off right now which I'd like to take advantage of. Just seems like the Tundra oem replacement Kings have an ideal stroke range for damn near any leaf pack, so I'm wondering why I haven't seen this idea pop up. :notsure:

You'll pretty much just be gaining bump travel which won't be usable with an soa setup. You will gain about .75" of droop travel but will need to have the shocks revalved and have to figure out resivoir mounts. As stated above most guys just end up going bamf or small shock hoops and running 12's
