Thanks! I'll post more pics once I finish the new reservoir mounts and paint everything.
Swapping to 500 pound coils so it flexes a little easier. It should be around 10 to 11" though.

I'm curios as well. Pretty sure they are adjustable height. A neat idea. If I trusted myself more I'd consider modifying a stock set to be like that

Yea I'd like to find out a bit more about them.

Looks kinda like a lift spindle with helmed upper allowing you to take preload off the coilover.. hmm :notsure:

A friend and I built them, put them on his truck, someone hit him on the freeway and he rolled 4 times. Spindles and uppers survived without a scratch. We then added a few more gussets mostly because it looks cleaner.
Not a lift spindle, which raises the lower ball joint to behind the hub. (2WD Only).

You can move the Ballistic Joint front to back in the arm using washers which adjusts for Castor, or coilover clearance. The spindle height is also adjustable. Ideally you want the lower and upper arm to be parallel, but on stock width, it's hard because the coilover is in the way of downtravel. So an adjustable height allows us to get as close to parallel as possible while still clearing the coilover.

ok hookers, time for new springs for my coilovers.

Currently they're 14" #600 Kings. I am cranked more than i want to be and it also is continually sagging with the v8. I dont have any weight on the front but the motor is somewhat heavy. I thought #700s would be great but im afraid they may be too stiff. #650s? Also i dont have sway bars on the front or the rear, so i do get a little tippy on hard corners and hoping this would help a little as well.

    Your thoughts?

A little lift and a little armor

Do you have any idea on what the weight difference is between the V8 and the V6?

    from google, looks like the V6 4Runner is 5,120 - 5,380LB, V8 4runner is 5,250-5,510LB. So roughly 150-250LB difference

With no weight up front I'd go with 650. That's what I'm upping to in the near future because I have the same problem and I just built a heavier front bumper.

Have heard that you want the lowest spring # you can that will give you the ride height you want. So a #600 coil with preload will be softer than a 650 with no preload because the springs are linear. But thinking you should give the #650 coils a shot

Is the front super soft now?

Yea I'd say if preloading the 600s isn't enough (without running into coil bind) then give the 650s a shot.

I've heard the #700s can be bone rattling if the fronts not loaded down

Maybe someone else can chime in with there 2cents also:hattip:

my previous Icons were the #650 and they did ok and held up. They just were the standard 13" length so preload was normal for those. I think the #700s would be too stiff with the way people throw them on for plate bumpers. Ill give the #650s a shot.

    thanks!

    Law of averages? Like 600+650+700/3=650?
