The bully dog tuner can turn off the VSC. But once you turn truck off and back on again, it defaults to VSC on. :annoyed:

Still need to do ABS kill.

Yeah I never heard of recalibrating it until after I already did the abs kill switch. Never really worried about doing it then. Just flip the switch and everything is off

Took 2.5" off the actual bedsides and took 2" off the flares. They clear with plenty of room. Probably could have gotten away with only trimming 1". But now I am set for 37's :spy:

Mine only does it if I'm coming in hot around a curve lol. I keep meaning to recalibrate my VSC (The dealer basically told me they can't do it, which is horseshit) but, you know, #laziness.

So I think i done the ABS kill switch mod correctly. I now have a switch that makes the ABS light, VSC off light, and TRAC off light come on. On the fly. So when i have this on, killing everything, the truck won't lock up and when i throw it into a curve, right?

Sounds like you got it right. You can always find some dirt and go test it out.

Alright sweet. My problem with testing it is the VSC kicked in so randomly. I guess I'll go fly through some curves and see what happens.

Find some gravel, hit it at speed in a straight line and stomp the brakes as hard as you can.... If you get a nice long skid with no shudder then you definitely killed the ABS. :burnrubber:

I pulled my ABS fuse last Pismo trip, It was fun slamming the brakes and sinking about a foot or two deep into the soft sand lol.

I did the ABS kill switch mod just last weekend. Tested to verify it works, but I haven't really used it yet.

I did the yellow wire mod a while ago which is an improvement for my open front diff. The downside is that (I think it's VSC?) Kicks in if I'm chewing through something with my front wheels anything other than straight. It's a real pain in the butt. Pretty sure that system is in the same ABS computer, so I'm hoping I can stop that from being an issue for me.

Pretty sure my ABS kill switch is working beautifully. Anytime I hit a curvy road, flip the switch, dash lights come on, and the truck doesn't try to lock up when the body rolls a bit. Thanks for the advice fam.

Hey all so last time I had my truck out on a wheeling trip I noticed after installing front and rear plate bumpers and front and mid skids that I definitely hit my bump stops pretty hard a few times front and rear. I'm running just a simple 5100 front and rear with 650lb coils. I have a suspension over haul planned for the future but for the mean time would heavier coils and taller bumps be the way to go till then. It just wasn't very funn coming hitting them that hard and I definitely plan on more off roading before the suspension re-do

You could go up to 700lb springs and hit the bumpstops less.

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
700 lbs coil will be highly recommended for the future. Are you still running stock bumps up front? I have put super bumps on all 4 corners and they absorb bumps 1000 times better. They will improve your problem but not remedy the issue. They will also be something that you won't have to change when you do the overhaul.
