I actually used a brass vise on a table. They came out super smooth. TC uses some good anti-seize! Barely any effort coming out or going back in.

there's many ways to skin a cat. Personally for my own stuff so far I have used Camburgs (link) technique with pretty good success. And it works perfect for rod ends too that I know you were wondering how to replace. Some need more persuasion than others. But I've helped a handful of folks replace their uniballs and for those I use the TC tool because although I don't mind beating up my crap, not sure how others feel about their race truck parts.

I agree with this. I was just noting that Ive used a soft vise with TC tool, and they basically fell out after 3 years of east coast winter/salt. Thats not bad. And reassembly wasnt bad at all either. I probably spent more time bs-ing than actually trying to remove uniballs.

That's usually how most projects go lol did you happen to lube your uniballs ever so often? I've wondered if using stuff like triflow every so often might also act as a penetrant and keep the uniballs from seizing to the cup

I think I did it every time I washed the truck, which was monthly. Now Ive been lubing them with Triflow every oil change. I have the CRC spray too, but I like triflow more.

Lots of bolt on chrome stuff
I have changed my UCA uniballs a few times over the years. The clay dust/mud really eats them up here.

Wheelers has the FK replacement uniballs for the best price I found two years ago (last time I replaced them). Although that might have just been the best price from someone that would ship to Canada. It's time to order another set and I'll probably just go straight to Wheelers.

I use the AGM uniball tool to do it right on the truck. It works really well as long as they aren't seized; it's a very quick and fairly easy task with the right tool. It was quite expensive though, and my original uniballs were a PITA even with the right tool... I don't think ICON used any antiseize at all. Use it!
Note: ICON uses slightly different uniballs than other manufacturers, but Wheelers has FK replacements for both.

You'll probably want snap ring pliers too, maybe new snap rings. Both available at pretty much any auto parts store.

The icon uniball part number is comh16t. At least for the billet UCA’s.

I went with 9' straps and still have the 8's if you would like to buy with discount $20.00 each + shipping. I dont see any problem with the 8's i just wanted to set my cleavis mounts up a bit higher. I bought them from Kartek. You can find them on their site under suspension parts?

Ok Cool. I'm tearing my front end down now and will start taking some measurements and see I decide to take you up on those. Thanks!

I have loved my Radflos. Most of the rock bouncers use them over king and fox from what i have seen. I wanted something different than just getting what everyone else has. Radflo has been around for a long time they just don't market like the others do. Their quality is top notch and customer service in my experience is second to non

i have a frontier aswell and nissan guys 100% swear by them. just ordered jba ucas and deciding on what extended travel coilover to get. some companies seem to have ridiculously long wait times on them too. I currently have an old set of toytecs.

Radflo are a little better than King/Fox. Just a smaller company so you have to have smaller company patience but it pays off in quality and customer service

Curious on your opinion, I mess around with all brands of shocks. What about radflo do you feel is better than what king/fox offers?
