I never go that fast. Fastest I go is like 40 and that's just on small washboard type shit. Most of it is 20-30 and then some slower then that! But I'll call or email and see what they say

No worries man, I bag on Icon cause I ran them but really its all about how you valve these shocks. I barely understand how the Kings work now that we rebuilt mine and ive read all these posts that got added to the FAQ.

Now add in the digressive valving and ill go crosseyed.

@ckeene9 seems to have his all ironed out and he goes pretty hard.

You like to do wheeling similar to what I like to do. I can't help you with Icon valving as it is Digressive and I only have experience with Progressive, but if you like to do wheeling of that nature, I would talk for sure with Icon and @LTDSC and definitely shoot for hydros. They are well worth it.

Just make sure you move that battery to the rear somewhere.

When I'm not jumping I like to blast down fire roads, mild crawling, whoops and washboard sections. It's not all jumps and air my friend! :D

Yeah I don't jump :rofl:Rob goes way harder then I do!

@iJonny I've read those threads and they just confused me. I may just have to copy what @ckeene9 has in his. Also if you don't mind me asking how much did it cost you to have the rear frame plate and the new crossmember in parts and labour? I'm getting ready to do my BAMF tower with shackle flip and was thinking about building a cross member to hold a battery or two

I'm not fully sure what he changed on mine but he did change out mine for a better rebound and a little softer for daily driving but not overly soft. I love them so far I could tell a difference while driving around aggressively but haven't tested the rebound.

I do, but sometimes I like to just hang out and enjoy the terrain and the company. What's the fun of being out in nature if you can't stop and smell the roses every here and there ya know what I'm saying?

Hit up @jeffz0rz thread to buy his frame plates and he may be able to make you a crossmember as long as he has the measurements. Dudes a bad ass and his price on plates is great.

I wont discuss what I pay for my work because I was envolved with all of the labor and im affiliated with the shop.

Speaking of cross members.... i want to remove the stock X frame tire carrier one and replace it with a straight tube across. But it seem slike most pictures people have done a lot more reinforcing than just a single tube across. So i guess would a single like 1" tube .125 be enough? (i have the two package with hitch as well). If not I could possibly toss another bar across up forward a bit. Im mostly trying ot gain space for air tank and water storage

    Yes
No, it is not enough because the rear end of the frame flexes wayyyyy too much. You need to do two straight tubes, one at the very back and one up by the gas tank and then a full X or V between those.

I didn't think it was necessary (for me) to go any further than the X and the plating. I figured I was already making it significantly stronger over what Toyota has back there. (Again, statements are for me)

My application for my truck is way different than Jason here. Along with what you said about the battery relocation, this area is where I feel the battery boxes will go on my rig. So for now, the current cross is fine with me until we figure out batteries. Right now, im planning for bumpers though. :)

That being said, the rigs ive seen that bomb whoops and jump like Jasons, they had the X & 2 extra straight bars along with solid frame plating that goes under the cab.

Jason, im really suprised you didnt cage but it gives you room to grow when you add that SC. :)

This is what I have planned for the rear end. No caging similar to Jason, but a large increase in strength over stock. Hell, with the stock setup I hammer through the whoops as it is and the truck does pretty well for what it is, so with less flex I could see the rear end not juggling as much as it usually does.

Thanks. After reading the comparisons between digressive and progressive I think I want to change to progressive valving shocks should suit my needs much better. I have all icons now.
