How do you clearance the rear fenders on a 4 runner? Isn't the front of the rear fender part of the door? Just wondering because my wife wants a runner.

With the links and lift it pushes the wheel back into the wheel well like the Tacoma. So you really only need to trim the rear bumper part of the flare. Here's what I did.

I taped it off, used the dremel with the cutting disk then cleaned up the edges with a knife. From there I used some 120grit sandpaper on a small sanding block to smooth any waves out from cutting.

Oh, okay. Nice. Can you adjust how far you want to push the wheel to the rear by adjusting the links?

you can adjust it if you have the aftermarket lower/upper and panhard but you only have so much room or the springs wont be properly positioned i would think.

These are the TC W/swaybar option
I don't run a swaybar, but with this kit you get an extra gusset and they are a bit beefierimage.jpgimage.jpg

Those are the same ones I run. They seem a little better than the gen 1 gussets because of that additional brackng they add. Plus, they are solid instead of dimpled and all weird looking like Gen 1 does.

You know, as mild running as that looks, I am surprised I never bent mine, and I would beat the absolute SHIT out of those spindles!!

Nice, fellas! I like 'em. Does anyone know if Total Chaos offers TW members a discount? I see their shop is 30 mins for me. I think I'd like to pick some up.

Most likely not. They are very high priced as far as fabrication vehicle specific parts are concerned, but they built some damn good stuff. Worth the coin. I rock their spindle gussets and secondary shock hoops. Great fitment.

No doubt. Get what you pay for - I'm onboard with that. I nearly went with their UCA's but I heard stories and seen photos of them punching holes into taco fenders under high stress. However, their LCA'S and gusseted spindles look sexy and I've heard plenty of great things there.

Their UCA's are solid and there is nothing wrong with them at all. A properly cycled suspension with the uppers on will show you exactly where you need to hit the upper fender liner with a small holesaw and all will be well. I don't ever hit the upper fenders anymore with my Dirt King arms, but only because I have a shit ton of shocks and the airbumps to absorb all that uptravel. Lol. I used to before the bumps though.

Thanks Blake. Do you know if they will fit with my 4.5 backspacing?

The spindle gussets will clear 4.5 BS no problem.

Did you bottom out? You have UCA's right?

Same here. Knew I wasn't going to run the sway bar but wanted the additional gusset and the ability to reinstall the sway bar in case we transferred to a state that required it for inspections.
