Check out the Link. I have a pair for my 2006 tundra and they're pretty nice. If you can wait, you can find holiday deals. Don't forget to upgrade the control arm to a Total Chaos, Solo Motorsports or Camburg.

This is correct. Daily driving a LT Tacoma isn't that more practical/comfortable. Especially when you have a 5 point harness.

Unless your daily is also your race truck.

In all seriousness, I’ve been going back and forth for a while and I know what I want, I’ve done the research and got answers to questions from those with experience in both and that’s honestly what you need to do. It’s more about what you want and if you’re okay with the negatives of that option. Each option has its negatives and positives, you have to decide what you are comfortable with. Start with mid travel, try it out and if you feel you need more, check out dirtkings LT kit, it’s designed to work with both LT COs and stock replacements. So those $2,500 fox with dcgs you purchased for the mid travel will still work and you don’t have to drop another $2k on new shocks until you’re ready. And if LT is for you, do the frame shit first. Double shear, strength plates, box the rear end, spindle gussets…then go to the LT spec COs. That’s my plan anyway.

So for a guy who doesn't give a shit about money but doesn't want to f... with it what is better? Read the whole thing but only wondering. I was kinda hoping for the "Kings" guys to say how how the on road ride was so better but the off road ride performance was even better.

I just hear the talk around town and find myself wondering in what way the Kings are better. Like I said, price making no difference. I drive 30,000 miles a year so I don't want to send the shocks in every year.

You shouldn't expect on-road feel to be much different from each other...maybe on some harsh bumps but who intentionally drives over hard bumps constantly on their commute?

I will say I've definitely felt a huge difference from my own Fox 2.5 or King 2.5 versus Bilstein's on the same trail (in someone else's vehicle)

Makes me think of a few years ago too when I organized a meet for Moab

One member rode in my vehicle with King 2.5's front and back, and he was absolutely blown away how fast I took washboards and more while off-road as my passenger

Bilstein (if we're talking 5100's) dissipate heat less, are digressive (different sort of feel) and will fade sooner than a larger shock during off-road sessions

I have the Bilstein 6112's front and 5160's rear. It's not a bad ride at all but that Ranger is so damn smooth, on road. Just looking at all my options. Thanks for your honest help by the way.

100% I've run Bilsteins on my truck for years and had to replace them every two/three years. I put King's on all 4 corners expecting some gain in performance but mostly for the serviceability. Turns out the performance is a quantum leap and I haven't needed to rebuild them in 4-years after my abuse. Different league alltogether.
